25 Year Celebration
s Spring is in the air, it was the perfect time of the year to celebrate 25 Ayears of Silver Lakes and to bring our community together. The celebration was held in and around the Silver Lakes Clubhouse on 7th and 8th September 2018.
Our organising committee and supporting teams were ready and excited when the day of the 25 Year Celebration arrived after months of planning and hard work. It started with a cold morning and a few rain showers followed, but as we held our breath the rain stopped in the afternoon and the bring-and-braai could continue as planned! People started to arrive with their chairs, gazebos, family and friends and the evening turned out to be a massive success with 620 people in attendance.

INGREDIENTS For the Marie Rose sauce, mix: COOKING INSTRUCTIONS 16 large deveined, unshelled prawns ½ cup good-quality mayonnaise Steam the prawns in batches for 3 minutes 1 small gem lettuce (quartered) 2 T tomato sauce on each side, or until firm. 2 avocados (halved and peeled) 1 T Worcestershire sauce Divide the lettuce between four bowls and 2 limes 1 T lemon juice add the avocado.
