EDUCATION NCHRP 8-53 Integrating Freight into Transportation Planning and Project Selection - Developed a guidebook for freight planning and project selection. MBA University of St. Developed case studies representing multiple planning viewpoints within the state Thomas planning process. Assessed user demand and shipping requirements for the successful establishment of an intermodal freight terminal in Transportation Research the Twin Ports of Duluth Superior. Determined rail and marine interface Board - Inland Waterways requirements and potential volumes and trade lanes.

State Rail Planning. Iowa, Illinois and Michigan State Rail and Freight Plans which Department of identified transportation investment priorities. Commerce Supply Chain Competitiveness Council Minnesota Freight Rail Economic Development Study. Identified priority transportation investments and provided a Rail Shipper Tool Kit to help guide State Council of Supply Chain Economic Development Agencies in freight rail development. Defined freight nodes and transportation capacity and condition profiles for rail, truck and short sea shipping activities which define a Green Bay Chamber of corridor linking the Port of Philadelphia to the Port of Columbus, OH. Military Commerce support activities and agile port strategies were documented to enhance the application for designating this important lane as a corridor of National Significance. Midwest Rail Shippers Association Intermodal Container on Flatcar Feasibility Study. Lead the research project to determine potential intermodal volumes and potential site locations for global rail service connecting to Montana to domestic and international markets. Association of North Evaluation of SW Indiana Intermodal Development Site. Identified demand for America an intermodal freight terminal to support the manufacturing, warehousing and agricultural activates of the region. Developed a business plan to support the Wisconsin Commercial development and the operation of a potential site. Recommended funding sources Ports Association and site locations to realize this opportunity.

Inland Rivers Ports and Port of Pasco Investment Analysis. Designed a rail served river port terminal to Terminals support export containers.

Illinois Freight Advisory Port of Evansville, IN Slackwater Terminal Study. Assessed site, configuration, Committee demand and with the Port Authority and Corps of Engineers prepared a Section 107 development grant for a slackwater terminal. MPO Freight Advisory Committee Illinois Soybean Association – Lead an effort to identify container supply locations for users interested in exporting. Developed promotional material for transportation stakeholders to better understand the agribusiness opportunities created by Illinois Soybean farmers.
