AT&T TV NOW FAQs

Q: I already have DIRECTV service, but I also want to enroll in the AT&T TV NOW employee discount. A: Employees are only eligible for one discounted video service. Since you already receive a discount on your traditional video service, all other video services will be billed at consumer pricing.

Q: I tried to get AT&T TV NOW service from the discount microsite, but I am being told I am not allowed to sign up. Why? A: We have determined you already have discounted AT&T video service. You can only have one discounted video service.

Q: Can I still sign up for AT&T TV NOW, even if I can’t get a discount? A: Yes! You can sign up for AT&T TV NOW at consumer rates.

Q: What if I want discounted AT&T TV NOW and not my discounted traditional video service? A: You will need to cancel your discounted traditional video service before you can sign up for discounted AT&T TV NOW service. You can sign up for consumer DIRECTVNOW service and convert that to discounted service approximately 30 days after your traditional TV service discount is removed.

Q: Is the discount the same as the AT&T DIRECTV offer? A: As with employee discount on DIRECTV, the base package cost will be $0, and you’ll get HBO at no cost. However, you will be charged a $10 Enhanced Technology Fee.

Q: Are there any special requirements to receive the discount? A: If you are an active employee located in the (except Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands) and do not have an existing employee discount with either U-verse TV or DIRECTV service, you can participate.

Q: What is the Enhanced Technology Fee? A: The $10 Enhanced Technology Fee covers costs associated with the development of this offer and non-programmer feature enhancements to the platform.

Q: I can't get into the AT&T TV NOW section of the discount microsite. What is my next step? A: Ensure you are using the name and information you have registered with HR. For example, if the name on your paycheck is Richard, don't use Rick to access the AT&T TV NOW section of the discount microsite. If you continue having problems, contact OneStop at 888-722-1787. If you are from one of the Time Warner companies, identify yourself as a Time Warner employee when you speak to a live agent. You may experience longer than normal hold times in the days/weeks following the merger.

Q: I’m an employee trying to get the AT&T TV NOW employee discount on the Employee & Retiree Self-Service Site, but it’s asking me for an AT&T UID, and I don’t have one. What do I do? A: Go back to your discount microsite and follow the links. The AT&T TV NOW tab on the Employee & Retiree Self-Service Site (also called the Discount Enrollment Portal) will not work for all employees. Q: How do I enroll for the discount? A: You’ll enroll in all your discounts using the discount microsite. Q: I already have a paying AT&T TV NOW account. Will I be able to convert it to the employee discount? A: Yes, you will be able to convert your existing AT&T TV NOW account to the employee offer. Go to the discount microsite, click on the link under “Already a Customer” in the AT&T TV NOW section. Once you arrive at the AT&T TV NOW website, sign into your account, and you will be prompted to convert to the employee offer. Note: Your account will be upgraded to the Ultimate package and your employee discount will be applied effective at the start of your next bill cycle.

Helpful Tip: After 5 minutes of inactivity, the system will time out and you will need to restart your transaction from the DEP website.

Q: I am a FreeView customer (I do not have a credit card on file), will I be able to migrate my account? A: Yes, you will be able to convert your FreeView account. Go to the discount microsite, click on the link under “Already a Customer” in the AT&T TV NOW section. Once you arrive at the AT&T TV NOW website, sign into your account, and you will be prompted to convert to the employee offer.

Q: Why can’t I watch AT&T TV NOW on Internet Explorer? A: While you can manage your AT&T TV NOW account on Internet Explorer, AT&T TV NOW no longer supports Internet Explorer. We recommend using Google Chrome or Safari. That said, the AT&T TV NOW app is your go-to when streaming on mobile devices. Q: I signed up for AT&T TV NOW and took advantage of a device offer, can I still receive the discount? A. Your employee discount will take effect once you complete your device prepayment obligations. Q: Will I need any help to set up my service once I become a customer? A: Because no installation is required, you can start viewing AT&T TV NOW immediately after your account is set up. AT&T TV NOW offers chat support if you need technical assistance in setting up the service. For a list of compatible devices and browsers, please click here. Q: I do not have a smart TV. Does that mean I will not be able to participate in the discount? A: No. You can watch AT&T TV NOW on your TV with a streaming device, such as: AppleTV® (4th generation), Fire Stick, , and . You can also stream DIRECTVNOW on your compatible mobile phone, tablet, and browser. Q: How do I take advantage of the no cost HBO offer on AT&T TV NOW? A: We’ve made it easy. HBO will be pre-selected with your Ultimate package when you sign up for new service on the Employee & Retiree Self-Service Site or your divisional website. If you already have discounted AT&T TV NOW service, HBO will be automatically added to your account in the next few weeks. Q: Will I be able to watch HBO GO? A: Yes! Employees with the discounted AT&T TV NOW service will have access to HBO GO. Billing & Payments

Q: How does AT&T TV NOW bill customers and what forms of payment are accepted for AT&T TV NOW? A: All AT&T TV NOW accounts are prepaid; your monthly cost will be directly charged to the payment method of record. Acceptable forms of payment are credit/debit card and PayPal. There are no refunds for partial month of service, and retroactive credits will not be applied to your account if your discount is removed. Q: What happens to my account if I am no longer employed by the company? A: Your AT&T TV NOW service including HBO will be cancelled. You can subscribe to AT&T TV NOW and HBO under consumer rates by logging into your account.
