The Eden Team Farnworth – ‘Walkathon’ Eden teams are urban missionaries across the UK who support partner churches in youth ministry, community projects, gospel outreach and discipleship whilst living within poor neighbourhoods (within the 10% most deprived communities in the UK). Aspiration and achievement grow as young people are mentored and become disciples of Jesus. The atmosphere changes, leaders are raised, and communities are changed for the good. Eden Farnworth, based at Farnworth Baptist Church are looking to raise funds for several new initiatives to help residents within the Flower estate and surrounding Campbell Street area. Other Bolton Community Information

Tackling Hate Crime Together

People are still abused and targeted simply because of who they are. Many of these people will be a victim of hate crime. Hate crime or incident is any incident that is perceived by the victim or any other person as being motivated by prejudice or hatred based on someone’s, race, colour or ethnic origin, nationality or national origin, religion, faith or belief, gender or gender identity, sexuality or sexual orientation, disability, lifestyle or dress.

We can all play a role in tackling Hate Crime, through raising awareness of it and encouraging more people to report it and to access support. The Police want to hear about all incidents and there are lots of ways you can get the information to them: http://www.report-it.org.uk/report_a_hate_crime

Many community centres across Bolton actively take reports of these incidents, including at The Bolton Hub. For further information look at the main Bolton hate crime pages, which lists other reporting centres, online training resources and the latest local information: http://www.bolton.gov.uk/website/Pages/Hatecrime.aspx
