Does Reality TV Induce Real Effects? On The Questionable Association between 16 And Pregnant and Teenage Childbearing November 2016 JEL No. J13, L82 ABSTRACT We reassess evidence that the MTV program 16 and Pregnant played a major role in reducing teen birth rates in the U.S. (Kearney and Levine, American Economic Review 2015). We find Kearney and Levine’s identification strategy to be problematic. Through a series of placebo and other tests, we show that the assumptions necessary for a causal interpretation of their results are not met.

Jock let's start with when and where were you born? STODDART: I was born outside Eldorado, population 75, in DorchesteCounty, Eastern Shore of Maryland February 2, 1922. Q: Could you tell me a little about your family and theibackgrounds? STODDART: Both of my parents were from Philadelphia. My mother came from a relatively affluent family. She became a newspaper woman and worked for the old Philadelphia Record in advertising. After World War I, she met my father, who came from a completely different family background, respected but poor. He was orphaned by the time he was five years old and was brought up by a wonderful woman, his grandmother, who worked at the U.S. Mint in Philadelphia until her early 80s. The News Around Us Jan 31 2021 Biden Sasses Fox News' Peter Doocy Over Question About Putin Lindsey Ellefson TheWrap Joe Biden peter Doocy President Joe Biden got sassy with Fox News' Peter Doocy Tuesday when the White House correspondent asked him about a recent call with Russian president Vladimir Putin. "Mr. President," called out Doocy, who covered Biden during the 2020 presidential campaign. "What did you talk to Vladimir Putin about?" Biden quipped, "You. He sends his best!" Other assembled journalists laughed as Biden put on his face mask and exited the briefing. The moment came one day after Biden called on Doocy during a different briefing, saying, "I know he always asks me tough questions and he always has an edge to them, but I like him anyway, so go ahead and ask the question." Amid a series of staffing and scheduling shakeups, Fox News announced earlier this month that White House correspondent John Roberts would be leaving the West Wing to host his own hour-long program on the cable network. Doocy was announced as the channel's new White House correspondent shortly thereafter. He joins colleague Kristin Fisher in the briefing room. Prior to covering Biden's campaign for Fox News, Doocy worked on coverage of the Democratic primary field. He first joined Fox News as a general assignment reporter in 2009 just after graduating from Villanova University. An equitable distribution of COVID-19 vaccine must include noncitizens Rep. Raúl M.
