KINNEY Yellow ATLANTIC NEWS STAFF WRITER NORTH HAMPTON | The date is set. On Tuesday, Nov. 14, at North Hampton School, residents will come together to deliberate Black on the possible takeover of the assets of Aquarion Water Co., while Senior Vice President of Aquarion, Larry Bingaman, says the company is not for sale. As part of a special town meeting, the voting portion will follow on Dec. 19. The vote is only to determine if voters want to explore the feasibility of assuming the assets of Aquarion within North Hampton’s borders. If the article receives the necessary two-thirds approval, a warrant article with a dollar amount would then go before voters at the town’s annual town meeting in March. The meeting is a result of a petition by Henry Fuller, resident and Water Commission chair- man. The petition was signed by more than 450 North Hampton residents. Aquarion Water Co. currently provides water for more than 8,000 customers living in Hampton, North Hampton and Rye. Roughly 70 percent of the households in North Hampton are served by the water company. Bingaman said it’s not as simple as just taking control of the system in a single town. Hey Ya! District Court Dismisses Copyright Lawsuit Against André 3000'S "Class of 3000"
Hey Ya! District Court Dismisses Copyright Lawsuit Against André 3000's "Class of 3000" April 26, 2012 By: Seth I. Appel In 1997, Timothy McGee pitched an animated TV series, "The Music Factory of the 90's," to The Cartoon Network. McGee's show, set in Atlanta, centered on Tony "The Play Maker" Rich, a wealthy corporate attorney who leaves his law firm to become a music producer. The show would feature animated versions of well-known guest musicians. Each episode would include a musical performance, and at the end of the episode the guests would appear in their live-action state. The show would deal with serious issues such as racism and violence, and it aimed to teach viewers lessons about the music industry and life. The Cartoon Network rejected "The Music Factory of the 90's" because it did not meet the network's programming needs at the time. Nearly ten years later, The Cartoon Network debuted "Class of 3000," an animated series co- created and co-produced by Andre "Andre 3000" Benjamin, best known as one-half of the hip-hop duo Outkast. This show was also set in Atlanta. It focused on Sunny Bridges, a musical superstar who returned to Atlanta to teach, and his students at a performing arts school. Sunny displayed supernatural abilities and lived in a magical house in the woods. Benjamin provided the voice of Sunny, and each episode included his original music. According to the complaint, "Class of 3000" taught viewers lessons, and the plan was for animated versions of real artists to appear on the show. -

Bob Rife laughs. “Y’know, watching government regulation trying to keep up with the world is my favorite sport. Remember when they busted up Ma Bell?” “Just barely.” The reporter is a woman in her twenties. “You know what it was, right?” “Voice communications monopoly.” “Right. They were in the same business as me. The information business. Moving phone conversations around on little tiny copper wires, one at a time. Government busted them up – at the same time when I was starting cable TV franchises in thirty states. Haw! Can you believe that? It’s like if they figured out a way to regulate horses at the same time the Model T and the airplane were being introduced.” -- Neal Stephenson, Snow Crash , 1992 ACKNOWLEDGMENTS I began writing this thesis in the spring, 2002, in what I now know were my carefree days, but which at the time seemed overly busy with coursework, teaching a video production class, working on a media literacy video and planning for the radio station that would become WXOJ 103.3 FM. -

The critically acclaimed show revolved around young rapper ‘Courtney Rose’ (Brandon Michael Hall), who toiled for years in a small inner-city apartment making his music while looking for his big break. Tired of waiting for opportunity, Courtney cooked up the publicity stunt of the century: Running for mayor of his hometown in California to generate buzz for his music career. Unfortunately for Courtney, his master plan goes wildly awry, ending in the most terrifying of outcomes: an election victory. With the help of his mother (Community’s Yvette Nicole Brown) and best friends ‘Jermaine Leforge’ (Bernard David Jones) and ‘T.K. Carter’ (Marcel Spears), as well a rival foe turned allied partner ‘Valentina’ (Glee’s Lea Michele), Courtney faced challenges to overcome his hubris to transform the struggling city he loves. Born and raised in Paterson, NJ, Bernard David Jones realized, at a young age, that he was born for greatness. He started acting and singing in church, and he later joined a performing arts company. With this company, he traveled the USA sharing his gifts with everyone. Bernard attended high school at Rosa L. Parks School of Fine and Performing Arts. -
