In the second section, recommendations for action are made for prevention of drug abuse that may be achieved through multiple strategies that address the unique characteristics, cultural diversity and structure found in each community in America. The point is made that prevention must be comprehensive, involving all systems (educational, medical, law :nforcement, religious, family, business, etc.), and each community must have a specific plan of action. Examples of programs are given at the end of each chapter.
