 James reached 25,000 points in his 915th career game. Only three players reached that mark in as few games as he did: Wilt Chamberlain (691 games), Michael Jordan (782), and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (889).

 James recorded 22 points and 11 assists in reaching the plateau, becoming the 6th player to record a double-double in the game in which he surpassed 25,000 points, joining Chamberlain (who had a triple double when he reached that mark in 1968), Jerry West (1973), Abdul-Jabbar (1980), Karl Malone (1997), and Tim Duncan (2014).

NBA D-LEAGUE AFFILIATE - CANTON CHARGE

The Canton Charge (5-10), presented by SecureData 365 and powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, never trailed in a 105-90 victory over the Raptors 905 (5-11) in the first-ever meeting between the two teams. Canton came out the gate scorching, beginning the game on a 19-0 run to take control early. The Charge forced 10 Raptors turnovers in the quarter and got out in transition for 10 fast break points to build their large advantage early. The hosts led 29-10 at the break, tying the franchise record for the least amount of points allowed in a single quarter set last season against Fort Wayne (February 9th).

The Charge finished with a season-high 30 assists on 44 field goals as a team, while they also set a season-best mark for blocks in swatting nine shots. Canton protected the basketball well by surrendering a season-low nine turnovers, conversely forcing a season-best 24 turnovers from the Raptors that resulted in 36 points. Nick Minnerath finished with 22 points on 9-of-10 shooting in 23 minutes for his fourth consecutive game scoring 20+ points off the bench for Canton. Quinn Cook scored 17 points and nabbed two steals in 29 minutes of work. Jorge Gutierrez added 13 points, six assists, and four steals in 26 minutes. Jon Horford’s presence in the paint was felt with 16 rebounds and three blocks in 34 minutes. CAVS HANDED OUT TOYS TO LOCAL BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS AT HOLIDAY PARTY: Thanks to another recently-completed successful Cavs and Monsters Toy Drive, presented by Step2, hundreds of children across Northeastern Ohio will have a happier holiday season this year. The first benefactors of the Toy Drive were the Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lorain. The Cavs hosted 100 members of the clubs, ages 8-12, for a holiday party at Quicken Loans Arena this past Tuesday (December 22). Players Matthew Dellavedova and Sasha Kaun joined the kids for life-size games, a photo booth, cookie decorating and more. They were also able to enjoy the ZTE Snack Shop, chock full of food, drinks, and of course Nestlé Toll House cookies. Members of the Cavalier Girls, Scream Team and Spirit Squad, along with mascot Sir C.C., were also be on-hand for the festivities. Each child went home with a brand-new toy, which fans donated at Cavs and Monsters games during the Toy Drive earlier this month. The annual Toy Drive Party is presented by Step2 and is a part of the annual Cavs Season of Giving, presented by Nestlé Baking. Step2, the largest American manufacturer of preschool and toddler toys and based locally in Streetsboro, Ohio, also donated $5,000 in product to the Toy Drive.
