As you have read in this newsletter, I am leaving my I must thank Pat Covington for taking a chance on position as Provincial Coordinator for which I have me six years ago and hiring “some 22 year old kid” proudly served for the past six years. Two years ago to be the ‘arms and legs’ of the Association and run I moved back to my family farm in Milo, AB and was the offi ce. I know many of the Board members were lucky enough to have an ‘adaptable’ Provincial Board skeptical of the hire initially as they feared I would only allow me to maintain my position at a part-time level. be involved for 6 months and move on. But, I hope Now the farm operation is growing to the point where I rewarded Pat’s belief in me with the hard work and I do not have enough time to dedicate to Alberta 55 loyalty that she, and this organization, deserves. Pat, plus as the Association deserves. you are a continuous inspiration to me, and I am so proud that our relationship has evolved from “employer- I have been truly blessed to be a part of this incredible employee” to one of great friendship.
