THREE DAYS GRACE is a Canadian rock band formed in Norwood, Ontario, Canada in 1992, originally under the name Groundswell. After a breakup in late 1995, the band regrouped in 1997 under its current name with a line-up consisting of guitarist and lead vocalist Adam Gontier, drummer and backing vocalist Neil Sanderson, and bassist Brad Walst. In 2003, Barry Stock was recruited as the band's lead guitarist. The band is based in Toronto. After signing to Jive Records, Three Days Grace has released four studio albums, each at three-year intervals: Three Days Grace in 2003, One-X in 2006, Life Starts Now in 2009, and Transit of Venus in 2012. The first three albums have been RIAA certified platinum, platinum, and gold, respectively, in the United States, whereas in Canada they have been certified by Music Canada as platinum, double platinum, and platinum, respectively. The band have a string of number one songs on the Billboard Alternative Songs and Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks charts. On January 9, 2013, Three Days Grace announced that lead singer Adam Gontier was resigning from the band because of a "non-life threatening" health issue. Adam Gontier was quickly replaced by My Darkest Days singer Matt Walst for the 2013 tour, but not as an official member. Official TDG Website > http://threedaysgrace.com BEYOND HAVEN began in the spring of ’07. The band formed after front man Brian Vain nearly lost his hand in a work related accident. Upon writing, recording and playing live shows together the band had begun their upward climb in the local Barrie music scene. As with any grand vision it would require some refining. Taking the time to find the right members to make that vision a reality was ultimately the key. The bands new found strength is attributed to the members that stand together today. Beyond Haven has shared the stage with numerous Big Acts such as Finger 11, Thornley, Colin James, State of shock, Anvil, Remain, Mary Rose Obsession....and many other talented artists. Beyond Haven released their first album titled “New Era” early February 2009 and recently their second full-length album in the spring of 2013, titled "DON'T BACK DOWN". Members of Beyond Haven include: Brian Vain (lead vocals/guitars), Matt Davey (lead guitar/vocals), Jeff Dumais (Bass Guitar/Vocals), and Dan Smethurst (Drums/Percussion). Official Beyond Haven Website > http://beyondhaven.com SERENA RYDER is a Canadian musician. Born in Toronto, she grew up in Millbrook, Ontario. Ryder first gained national recognition with her ballad "Weak in the Knees" in 2007. An accomplished songwriter and musician, she also possesses a three-octave vocal range and is considered a mezzo-soprano. After three Juno Awards and two Gold Albums, Serena Ryder does it again with “Harmony”. Serena won the 2013 Juno for the Best Adult Alternative Album of the Year for Harmony, and it became Platinum earlier in 2013. “Harmony is my Journey….my Past, my Present, my Future and all the Ugly and Beautiful things that I’ve had the Pleasure of experiencing so far in my short life here,” shares Serena. “I’ve chosen with this record to experiment more freely with the different musical parts of me that make up the whole.” Official Serena Ryder Website > http://serenaryder.com Autumns Canyon is a Canadian Roots Rock Band set to explode at their performance here at Barrie! This band has been blessed with some serious talent and a huge heart! Following the passing of lead singer Shaun Francisco’s mother back in 2009, the musician uprooted himself from his hometown of Maple Ridge, BC, and headed further east to a friend’s house in Ottawa to start a new beginning. The game-changing decision set Francisco on the path towards finding his bandmates in Autumns Cannon, and ultimately to find himself through song. Now, after a near four-year journey, the act’s debut album Open Letter released in early 2013 under Chad Kroeger’s 604 Records. Autumns Canyon is singer- guitarist Shaun Francisco, guitarist Nick Beaton, bassist Mark Laforest, and keyboardist-guitarist Marty Sobb. I understand Pattison Outdoor Advertising has entered into an agreement with you, separate from the City of Niagara Falls, to place your posters in and around Niagara Falls. In reviewing the content, of which we do have some say under our agreement, I see no issue. Further our transit shelter revenues would be unaffected. Ultimately it would be our City Council that would approve any funding to generate your posters for this campaign, as such I am providing this response to our Clerks office. Any budget request would be coordinated by Mr. Matson and his team. I wish your organization every success with your campaign.
