Butch was a larger than life figure in the Colorado hockey community. He was a friend to everyone and a key contributor to the game in many ways. Dave is, perhaps, the toughest man on earth. On July 3, 2015, Dave was involved in a “Flight for Life” helicopter crash that took the life of Pilot Patrick Mahany. Suffering burns over 90% of his body, Dave was DAWG given less than a 1% chance to survive.
