RIDE THE TRAIN PLUS A VISIT TO THE FASCINATING MUSEUM OF IN KOBARID

At 8:53 AM, our vintage train will depart from and continue past , , Most na Soči and Kanal to its final stop at , where the arrival is scheduled for 11:57 AM. This three- hour-long train ride along the railway will undoubtedly be an unforgettable experience for any true rail enthusiast. The views of Lake Bled, passing through numerous gorges, crossing many tunnels, the longest of which measures 6,327 m (3.93 miles), never fail to impress. Make sure your cameras are at hand! On the train, we will be accompanied by tour guides and staff who will conjure up a merry atmosphere and provide information about the train, the Bohinj railway itself and the regions along the route. The train also has a restaurant carriage serving a selection of drinks and light snacks.

We will alight at the Most na Soči railway station and continue the journey by bus. Accompanied by tour guides, we will drive to Kobarid, a small and friendly city by the river Soča, at the foothills of the mighty Mount Krn (2,244m). First we will visit one of the most famous Slovenian museums in Kobarid, which offers visitors the most comprehensive story of the so-called Isonzo Front, mountain fighting in the during World War I, and the 12th battle of the Isonzo in detail. We will see a documentary film, objects, weapons and uniforms, and learn about the warfare and life on the Isonzo Front. After the Museum, we will visit the nearby ossuary with St. Anthony’s church and the monument dedicated to the fallen Italian soldiers in World War I. We will round off the first part of our excursion with a typical meal at a local restaurant.

After lunch we will make our way to the so-called Napoleon bridge in Kobarid and then return to Most na Soči, where we will rejoin the steam beauty and travel back to Bled and Jesenice. Pricelist Children 0-6 years - Free of charge* Children 6-12 years – 39 EUR Adults – 75 EUR
