3 www.exploringmagazines.ca Lindsay - Our Town to Discover A Great Place to Live and Venture The town of Lindsay, tucked into the heart of Kawartha Lakes is that best of both worlds, small enough to claim a “small town feel” yet big enough to offer its residents city like services and facilities. As the Gateway to the Kawarthas, Lindsay is so much more than a tourist stopover or a recreational playground. It’s a vibrant, diverse community and a hub for business and commerce for the surrounding area towns and villages. It’s a wonderful place to live if you love nature and the great outdoors, while offering a growing and expanding service sector. Lindsay has a beautiful, picturesque downtown and its historic landmarks make it an inviting place to settle and call home. The town boasts a wide variety of outdoor activities, shopping, dining and entertainment opportunities and it very enthusiastically celebrates its cultural heritage. Home to Fleming College, many organizations and clubs, a wide range of Health Services, Ross Memorial Hospital and a vibrant sports and recreation scene, the town of Lindsay is well positioned to continue attracting growth due to its ability to be all things to all people. Quality of life is essential to choosing a community to make your home. Lindsay gives you that small town, almost rural feel where you can get up close with agriculture and nature while also offering city amenities and services. This scenic gem is worth serious consideration for that special community to call home.

The past year is one that many of us will not soon forget and will be able to talk about going forward as a time that our community pulled together and the workers in the many fi elds of work gave their selfl ess service to the greater community to help see us all through these tough times. Your tireless efforts have not gone unnoticed. The community is deeply grateful to all of you for all the sacrifi ces that you and your family are making. This message is to all of those who serve our community and the surrounding communities, from health care, to education, to those who care for our most vulnerable in all facets of community and those who provide services to getting us through our daily lives. This is also including those who keep our stores stocked and keep those stores open as well as to those who have kept up the spirit of community help through this pandemic. Words are not enough to thank you for your strength, courage, and dedication. Being on the frontline or an essential service is not easy, but it is very much appreciated. Our community is better because you are a part of it and we will continue to support one another as we move through these unprecedented times.
