The overtime game was just the 12th in program history, with UR improving to 11-1 all-time in overtime games. The Spiders also moved to 5-0 in overtime contests on the road.

FISHER RUNS WILD OVER FLAMES RB Seth Fisher had a career day against Liberty on October 4, notching his second career 100-yard rushing day with a career-high 132 yards. Fisher also had a nose for the end zone, running in it twice and also catching a pair of touchdowns.

HOWARD COMES UP HUGE In his first collegiate start, redshirt sophomore LB Omar Howard made game-win- ning against Liberty on October 4. With the Spiders leading 46-39 after scoring a touchdown in double overtime, Howard clinched the win with a diving interception. Howard ended the day with five tackles and 0.5tackles for loss to go with the pick.

NON-LEAGUE BRILLIANCE Richmond has lost only one non-conference FCS game in the regular season since 2005, going 21-1 since then. The only setback during the stretch was a 12-10 loss at Gardner-Webb on September 14, 2013. Including the Spiders’ annual game versus an FBS opponent, Richmond’s non-conference regular-season record since 2007 is 19-7 (that includes wins at Duke in 2009 and 2011).

SPIDERS PICKED TO FINISH THIRD IN THE CAA In the preseason poll released by the CAA, Richmond was tabbed to finish third in the con- ference, earning three first place-votes from the league’s coaches and sports information directors.
