Nepalese community members remember lost lives
The Khotang Service Society (KSS) have organised an event in memory of the people who lost their lives recently when a passenger bus coming from the eastern region of Khotang to Kathmandu fell into a ravine. The accident in April claimed the lives of 25 people. A large number of people attended the KSS programme. KSS general secretary Rudra Acharya read out the names of the people who died in the accident. All attendees then observed a minute-long silence. Speakers on the occasion urged the Government of Nepal to focus on road safety and arrange road safety awareness programmes. The roads in the region, they said, are worn out and in urgent need of repairs.
