    In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 36 of Indian Medicine Central.     Balance Sheet Liabilities Unspent Grants ' The Council had unspent grants amounting to Rs. 7.02 lakh (Non-Plan: Rs. 4.47 lakh : Rs.2.55 lakh) as on 31 March 2006.     l The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention and on accrual basis. 2 Plan fund received from the Central Government has been shown a separate funds, and maintained separately.

    3. Reserve fund has been generated from fees for future expenses. 4. Investments has been made in FD in SBI for long terms to avoid the risk factor. 5. Accounting of Revenue and capital expenditure are from the Grant under Non Plan and Plan and fees received.

    l,C Corpus Funds:- lo- r ~This represents the accumulated balance of Excess of Income over Expenditure mainly from fees and Net value of fixed assets acquired from grant-in-aid.

    7. Contingent Liability :- Council has no contingent liability on the Balance Sheet as on date.

    8. Depreciation Depreciation on fixed assets has been provided w.e.f. the year 2005-06 on the written down value of assets at the following rates:-

Figures have been rounded off to nearest Rupees. 11. Accounts of Pension Fund and GPF is maintained separately and is shown in Main Balance Sheet under Non Plan. 12 The Central Council of Indian Medicine has set up a Pension Fund towards meeting a Pension liabilities for which a contribution is made every year from the recognition Fee being realized from I.S.M. Colleges. 13. The Annual Accounts of the CCIM are approved by the competent authority.
