After three centuries, the historic bells of Richmond in have fallen silent as a major project to replace them gets underway. During the next few weeks the ancient bells of St Mary's will be taken down and replaced with a new set of bells. News from the DAC Maintenance Booker is a new service from the National Churches Trust which makes it easy for churches across Yorkshire to access the highest standard of building maintenance services. Between Ascension and Pentecost, 25 May to 4 June, Christians across the country will be taking part in 'Thy Kingdom Come', a national prayer initiative. Events will be held at each of our three and larger scale 'Beacon' events will be held in other places. They include 'The Big Church Day Out' in Cheshire, a two day music festival for church groups. Mothers' Union offer Away from it All Holidays An Away from it All Holiday Scheme is now offered by the Mothers' Union and running across the diocese. It has two caravans on the East Coast for families in need of a break. Referrals from clergy of families who might benefit are welcome. Find out more here. MEDIA
