G6 Alliance announces Asia – North America Summer Programme

SINGAPORE, 14 APRIL 2015: Members of the G6 Alliance today announced the Summer Programme for Asia – North America services in response to seasonal changes in market demand.

Resumed Services

The G6 Alliance will resume the CC2, NYE and SCE services with the following details:

CC2 Port rotation: Ningbo – / Long Beach – Ningbo First Sailing: ETA Ningbo 17 May 2015

NYE Port rotation: – Ningbo – Shanghai (Yangshan) – Pusan – Canal – Manzanillo (Panama) – Savannah – New York – Norfolk – Jacksonville - Manzanillo (Panama) – – Balboa – Pusan – Kaohsiung First Sailing: ETA Kaohsiung 31 May 2015

SCE Port rotation: Xiamen – Kaohsiung – Da Chan Bay – – Yantian – Panama Canal - Manzanillo (Panama) – Kingston – Savannah – Charleston – Kingston - Manzanillo (Panama) – Panama Canal – Xiamen First Sailing: ETA Xiamen 26 May 2015

Service Enhancements

CC1 – Additional call CC1 service will be upgraded to include the port of Qingdao.

New port rotation: Qingdao – Shanghai – Kwangyang – Pusan – Los Angeles – Oakland – Pusan – Kwangyang – Qingdao Effective voyage: ETA Qingdao 17 May 2015

PA2 – Focus on Korea & Japan markets PA2 service will be adjusted to focus on connecting the Korean and Japanese markets with North America.

New port rotation: Tokyo – – Pusan – Balboa – Panama Canal – Manzanillo(Panama) – Miami – Jacksonville – Savannah – Charleston – New York – Norfolk – Manzanillo(Panama) – Panama Canal – Balboa – Los Angeles – Oakland – Tokyo Effective voyage: ETA Tokyo 26 May 2015

Service Rationalisation

Combined Service – Suspended As a result of resuming NYE and SCE, the current combined service will be suspended.

Combined service original rotation : Xiamen – Kaohsiung – Hong Kong – Yantian – Shanghai (Yangshan) – Pusan – Panama Canal – Manzanillo (Panama) – Kingston – Savannah – Charleston – New York – Norfolk – Jacksonville – Kingston – Manzanillo(Panama) – Panama Canal – Balboa - Pusan – Xiamen The last sailing will be ZIM Colombo 040E, ETA Xiamen 21 May 2015.

CC3 & SE1 – Leaving G6 Alliance CC3 and SE1 services will be withdrawn from the G6 Alliance. APL will continue to operate the CC3 service with US-flagged vessels, independent of the G6 Alliance.

CC3 original rotation: Qingdao – Shanghai – Pusan – – Los Angeles – Oakland – Yokohama – Pusan – Qingdao The last sailing under G6 Alliance will be APL Holland 225E, ETA Qingdao 9 May 2015

SE1 original rotation: – Chiwan – Kaohsiung – Los Angeles – Yokohama – Kaohsiung - Singapore The last sailing will be APL Florida 036E, ETA Singapore 6 May 2015

The G6 Alliance continues to offer a variety of services between Asia and North America covering all major port pairs with weekly sailings, and to make service adjustments where necessary. The G6 Alliance also offers services on the Asia-Europe and Transatlantic trade lanes.

The G6 Alliance members are: APL, Hapag-Lloyd, Hyundai Merchant Marine, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Kaisha and Orient Overseas Container Line.
