“Responsible Stewards.” These are the first two words of our mission statement. They are, I believe, the most important two words. They define us – the persons responsible for carrying out our mission of “providing the benefits of flood reduction, conservation, and recreation in the Muskingum River Watershed.” The year 2015 presented an exciting mix of opportunities and challenges to us responsible stewards of the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District. The continued stewardship of our oil and gas resources will provide funds for many projects to improve public access and use of our John Hoopingarner, lakes and lands. Executive Director and Secretary of the Board, has held Landowners in the watershed enjoyed a 50 percent reduction in the maintenance assessment, this position since 1989. lowering
