Jack Evans, a member of our club since September 1994, is presented with his Diamond Circle pin by Lou Mello for becoming a Rotary Foundation “Major Donor”. Major Donor recognition occurs when an individual or a couple has contributed a combined personal outright gift(s) of $10,000 or more to The Rotary Foundation. Carolyn Hash told us during Health & Happiness that almost everything we eat or drink will totally destroy all of the “good bacteria” in our digestive tract, and we’re all doomed! Well, maybe it’s not really that bad, but we do need to pay attention to which foods are detrimental to our probiotics so that we can make good food choices. Andrea Ulmer introduced Elizabeth Murphy as our speaker last week. Elizabeth is a very accomplished cellist who has recorded and performed with a very long list of famous musicians. She is currently the Principal Cellist and De- velopment Coordinator for the North Charleston Pops Orchestra.
