Cross Country Team Wins Big Sky

A total team effort is the best way to describe tht 1977 Boise State Cross Country Team. This effort enabled the Cross Country Team to win the Title and place in the top twenty at the NCAA Cross Country meet.

31 Bronco 1977

Dispite a disappointing season the Boise State Bas­ ketball Team grew in both experience and matu­ rity. The talents of the individuals started to jell into a unit while Boise State fans saw a lot of exciting games. They also saw a team that has to be considered one of the stronger teams next year after losing only one of the staring five to gradua­ tion. Scoreboard

32 Defending Big Sky Champions, Boise State, Win Christmas Tourney

Boise State put back to back wins over Uni­ versity of California- Irving and Puget Sound to win their own Bas­ ketball Tournament. The Broncos were led by Steve Conor's 39 points for the two games.

33 Broncos Drop A Pair To I.S.U.

Led by seven foot senior Steve Hayes the Idaho State Bengals beat the Boise State Bronces; 73 to 60 and 99 to 85. The score may indicate a lopsided game but in reality, if a couple of calls went the other way the scores could have been reversed with the Bronces on top.

34 Broncos Stumble, Weber Wins Two

Up until the last couple of minutes it was close but the Bronces dropped both Conference games to Weber State. The Wildcats used a four corner stall the last couple of minutes which meant the Bronces had to foul to get the ball, thus the point system increased.

35 Boise State Comes Close To Victory

After losing by four points in their first meeting, Boise State was looking for revenge in the second meeting. They came within one point, the final score 85-86.

36 Broncos Split With Grizzlies

After crunching Montana on their home court 82 to 67, Boise State looked for an easy victory up in Montana. This was not to be, after a hard fought back and forth game the Bronces lost by five, 72 to 67.

37 Broncos Have Tough Time With Bobcats

After winning in overtime on their home court the Bronces traveled to Montana and had a tough time of it as they got beat 87 to 73. The Bronces were led by Danny Jones' sixteen points and nine rebounds.

am I§§|§1 Boise State Gets Revenge

After losing a heartbreaker to Gonzaga on their home court, Boise State soundly beat them at home. There were a couple of high points in the game; Boise State hit the century mark and Junior guard Steve Connor became the new Ail-Time scorer replacing Ron Austin.

39 Boise State Wins Two Over Vandals

After beating the Vandals easily on their home court the Bronces relied on graduating senior Kevin Goetz's sixteen points and ten rebounds to beat the Vandals 61 to 60. It was a fitting finish for Goetz's one year career at Boise State as he led the team in both scoring and rebounding in the game.
