Her work for Rover Dramawerks includes The Awesome 80s Prom; Love, Lies & the Doctor's Dilemma; Bus Stop; and Who's Under Where?

Connie George (Costume Designer) is happy to be a part of her third production at Rover Dramawerks in Plano. She performed in and costumed Murderous Crossing in February 2018 and helped with costumes for An Untimely Likeness (part of last year’s 365 Women a Year Festival). Connie shares her talents on and off stage with many theatres in the Metroplex, and looks forward to being a part of future productions at Rover.

Kenneth Hall (Lighting Designer/Board Op) is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, with a degree in Theatrical Production. At SFA, he did everything from set and sound design to shop work and running shows. Since then, he has run two shows at Dallas Children's Theatre: Miracle on 34th Street and the world premiere of Skippyjon Jones, as well as designing and/or running several shows here at Rover, including Charley’s Aunt, Smoke & Mirrors, Love, Lies & the Doctor’s Dilemma, Dear Delinquent, Suite Surrender and Move Over Mrs. Markham, among others. He's grateful for the opportunity to help out again.

Eddy Herring (Cass Henderson) returns to the Rover stage, last appearing as Phil in Inspecting Carol (Not Right Productions). A commercial/print/film actor represented by Grit Talent, Eddy has appeared on several area stages including Runway, Allen, Richardson, Frisco, McKinney and Mesquite. Previous Rover productions include Henry in Move Over Mrs. Markham, Jack Driscoll in Kong's Night Out, the Sergeant in It Runs In the Family, and Flint in Something's Afoot. He thanks his family and the Harem for their continued love and support, Carol for this wonderful opportunity, and the incredible cast and crew. Please enjoy the show!

Abby Kipp-Roberts (Scenic Designer) most recently designed the sets for Murder on West Moon Street and The Belle of West Texas for Rover and Unnecessary Farce in the debut season of Not Right Productions. She has designed many shows in the Metroplex for multiple companies including Rover Dramawerks, Onstage in Bedford, Runway Theatre, and Allen's Community Theatre, among others. When not set designing, she travels working in corporate and tour production all over the world. Abby couldn’t do all that she does without the support of her family and friends but most of all the help of her loving husband Steve, the Light and AV of her life, whom she sees three or four days a month.

Having a major role in a romantic comedy for the first time ever doesn't usually happen to grandfathers over 50, but Mark Massey (John Cleves) has learned that life is full of fun surprises! Mark is performing in his second full length production with Rover, having appeared as Mr. Spettigue in Charley's Aunt last fall. He has been in such productions as Noises Off, The Servant's Last Serve, Little Women, Crimes of the Heart, and Androcles and the Lion, among others, on stages in Garland, Mesquite, and the Oklahoma City area. Mark is husband to Noelle, father of three, and spoiling grandfather of (currently) three grandchildren, the latest being born during rehearsals! He is deeply appreciative of the love and support of his friends and family, and hopes his kids don't freak out when he's kissing another woman! #laughingandenjoyingthejourney Kelton Neals (Stage Manager) recently graduated from Oklahoma State University in May of 2018 with a Bachelors degree in Theatre Arts. With OSU, Kelton participated in a number of productions including She Loves Me, Shipwrecked, and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, as well as studied performance and stage management. Kelton has stage managed both academic and community productions including Buried Child, Musical Theatre Miscast, and The Boys Next Door. Kelton is ecstatic that Rover has welcomed him with open arms and has given him many opportunities to explore.

Jade Reyes (Ellen Gordon) has worked with Rover Dramawerks since 2012 in productions of Written in Time, Boy Gets Girl, and various 10-minute plays. She’s honored to be directed by Carol Rice in her first major role as Ellen in Any Wednesday. In between rehearsals and theatre auditions, Jade creates internet content to keep her creative side alive by way of YouTube and Facebook. You can watch anything from rap videos to short skits on her channel, JadeVibes. Jade’s goal is to be a Creative Content Producer as well as writing for film and stage. She wants to recognize her mom and sisters for their support, her sweetie Van Pham and her fellow cast mates for the magic they constantly bring to the stage.

Carol M. Rice (Director) is the Artistic Director of Rover Dramawerks, as well as one of the co-founders. For Rover, a few of the plays she has directed include Smoke & Mirrors, Dear Delinquent, Things My Mother Taught Me, Kong’s Night Out, Suite Surrender, and Shakespeare in Hollywood. She also recently appeared on the Rover stage as Lady Windermere in Murder on West Moon Street. As a playwright, Carol is proud to say that Rover produced her world premieres of Around the World in 80 Days in 2008 and Murder at the Orient Burlesque in 2011, and her Sharing the Stage is Murder will be on the Rover stage at the end of May! Despite her absolute love of theatre, her favorite roles are Wife to best friend Jason and Mom to Stephen and Scott.

Jason Rice (Sound Designer) has been on the Rover board since it was founded and is the current Board President. He has designed sound for such shows as Smoke & Mirrors, Kong’s Night Out, Other People’s Money, Written in Time, Mary’s Wedding, The Compleat Works of Wllm Shkspr (abridged), and Night Must Fall. He has received awards for acting and sound design, and he has written several custom murder mysteries and one-act plays. Jason has composed music for both live theatre and video, receiving the Aegis Award for his original composition for Matt Kaufman’s film short Willoughby. Some of the plays he has directed for Rover include Rocket Man, WRENS, More Fun Than Bowling, Premiere!, The Runner Stumbles, and War of the Worlds. As much fun as theater is, Jason’s favorite role is Dad to Stephen and Scott. “What’s my motivation for ‘Because I said so!’?”

Lucia A. Welch (Dorothy Cleves), a Dallas resident the past 25 years, has had the pleasure of performing on many Dallas area stages including Water Tower Theatre, Theatre Three, Lyric Stage, Uptown Players, Main Stage Irving, Echo Theatre, Pocket Sandwich Theatre, and Theatre Frisco, where she was recently seen as Charlotte Hay in Moon Over Buffalo. She is so pleased to add Rover Dramawerks to that list! Besides her onstage work, Lucia does commercial, industrial and print work, represented by Linda McAlister Talent, as well as being a church soloist. When not on stage or in front of the camera, her favorite roles are wife, mother of 4, and grandmother of 7. She sends love and gratitude to her family and many friends who enthusiastically support her artistic endeavors and live theatre! About the Playwright Up Next for Rover
