By the time you read this, all three of our sections, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, will hopefully be able to meet outside face to face, though subject to very strict rules involving numbers, social distancing and sanitising. Following this, in the near future, we anticipate being able to meet in the hut. Face to face meetings were stopped just before the end of March 2020 and all three sections continued to meet by Zoom. For part of the Autumn term, we were able to hold meetings outside subject to strict rules, other than that there has been no face to face contact. This year the number of young people nationally fell disastrously by over 20%, but Forton’s figures have bucked this trend with our numbers of young people falling only slightly from 67 to 63.
