He attended St. Aidans College, Birkenhead, Cheshire from 1854 until 1856 when he graduated. He was made a deacon on 17 Feb 1856 and confirmed at Peterborough as a priest on 29 Nov 1857. Thomas was appointed curate for Packington, Leics from 1856-57 and moved to Little Missenden, Bucks in 1857 in Last update: 4 February 2015 ______the same capacity. He married Harriet Frances JAMES at Rhayader in 1857. They moved to Market Bosworth, Leics in 1859 when Thomas was appointed curate. The following year he was appointed curate for Cadeby a post which he held until 1872. He was also chaplain of Market Bosworth Union from 1867 until 1872 when he was appointed curate and lecturer at Ashby de la Zouch, Leics. Harriet, his wife, died in early 1868 and he married his second wife, Amelia BUCKNILL at Market Bosworth in 1870. Thomas was instituted as Rector of Farthingstone on 13 May 1873 where, besides his clerical duties, he was farmer of the Glebe land of 180 acres. They moved to Maidford on 12 Apr 1888 but his wife died a year later. Thomas married his third wife, Mary Beatrice BRADLEY, in 1896. On 8 Oct 1898, he was appointed Rector of Preston Capes, a position he held until his death on 20 Dec 1915. He was buried at Rhayader, Radnor on 23 Dec.
