Lebanese Army Forces

- The army units continue to distribute social aid (400,000 Lebanese pounds) to families with limited income in all Lebanese territories. - Supporting the security services in implementing the decisions issued by the Council of Ministers. General Decisions / Announcements

In the regard of the increasing number of infections Covid-19 cases, and in order to preserve the safety and health of citizens who will participate in the commemoration of August 4, the Prime Minister, based on the letter of the General Secretariat of the Supreme Defense Council No. About 5,000 PCR examinations for the benefit of the participants commemorating the 4th of August.

The Middle East Airlines - Lebanese Airways, announced in a statement that, starting from 6/8/2021, all passengers arriving in Lebanon will be subject to the following procedures:

• Categories obligated to hotel quarantine: Passengers coming from the United Kingdom - Cyprus - Turkey - Brazil - United Arab Emirates - Iraq - India - Malawi - Ethiopia - Zambia - Liberia - Kenya - Gambia and Sierra Leone (not passengers transiting through these countries) with mandatory possession of a reservation My hotel is at their own expense, for 4 days / 3 nights in one of the approved hotels, and passengers who do not have a hotel reservation are not allowed to board the plane

• Categories excluded from hotel quarantine:

1. National and foreign diplomatic missions and their families, provided that they adhere to the quarantine for a period of four days at their place of residence.

2. Passengers who have previously received at least one dose of any Covid-19 vaccine without a specified duration.

3. Passengers who were infected with the Corona virus and recovered from it within a period of ninety days before the date of their travel to Lebanon, after presenting an official document proving this.

4. Passengers transiting by land to Syria through Rafic Hariri International Airport - Beirut.

5. Minor passengers under 18 years of age, whether they are coming alone or accompanied by their parents.

• Categories obligated to conduct a PCR examination before coming to Lebanon: All passengers must have performed a PCR examination with the mandatory presence of a QR code in one of the approved laboratories, within a maximum of 96 hours from the date of issuance of the examination result until arriving in Lebanon and that they show the result of the examination upon registration bags. Passengers who do not have a negative test result are not allowed to board the plane coming to Lebanon.

• Categories excluded from conducting a PCR examination before coming to Lebanon:

1. Passengers who have received the second dose of Covid-19 vaccine or a full dose of Covid-19 vaccine (which is only one dose), for a period of no less than two weeks.

2. Passengers who were infected with the Corona virus within a period of ninety days preceding the date of their travel to Lebanon, after presenting an official document proving this.

The meeting of the Follow-up Committee on Preventive Measures and Measures for the Coronavirus, held on 07/27/2021, issued the following recommendations:

1. The Ministry of Public Health, with the aim of activating the examination and tracing plan and reaching the largest target group: Working on using primary health care centers to take PCR samples and when needed, coordinating with the Ministry of Social Affairs to use its dispensaries for this purpose

2. Ministry of Public Works and Transport - Directorate General of Civil Aviation:

• Making the necessary circular for the party to implement the same procedure adopted in its circular No. 19/2 related to obligating those wishing to come to Lebanon from some countries to have a hotel reservation at their own expense for a period of 3 nights / 4 days, to implement the quarantine, except for those who received at least one dose of the vaccine for expatriates from the following countries: Iraq, Turkey, Cyprus • Work to reduce the number of weekly flights to Lebanon from the following countries: Turkey, Iraq, Ethiopia, Cyprus. • Generalizing that a QR code must be included in the results of the PCR tests conducted by expatriates abroad • Cancel the paragraph related to exempting passengers who did not receive the vaccine and left Lebanon and want • to return within a week of conducting the PCR examination abroad

3. The Ministry of Public Health: Circular to laboratories operating in Lebanon that the QR code must be included in the results of the PCR tests performed by them

4. To protect the economy and achieve a corona-free economy, the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities, Economy and Commerce, Labor and Tourism shall carry out the following:

• The General Directorate of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers made the necessary circular regarding the obligation to grant the vaccine to all employees and workers in the public sector • All workers in the following sectors must receive the vaccine immediately: hospitals - orphanages and health care - medical clinics - dispensaries - care centers for people with special needs - educational institutions - universities - banks - commercial centers and food establishments • Institutions must work within a safe environment free of corona by limiting their customers and patrons to people who show a certificate of receiving the vaccine for those over 16 years of age, an IgG test document containing a QR code that proves a previous infection with corona or a quick Antigen test and allowing them to benefit from the services of this institution in the light of the result 5. Emphasis on the obligation to wear a mask in all public places

The General Directorate of Civil Aviation issued Circular No. 31/2 dated 30/07/2021, which included the following instructions:

1. Reducing the number of passengers arriving to Lebanon by 70% of the average number of passengers who came during the month of July

2. All those wishing to come to Lebanon must have a negative PCR test from one of the accredited laboratories in the countries from which they come, except for those under 12 years old, within a maximum of 96 hours, with the requirement to have a QR code among them, provided that those who do not carry a result are prohibited Negativity from boarding the next plane to Lebanon

3. All those wishing to come to Lebanon from the United Kingdom, Cyprus, Turkey, Brazil, United Arab Emirates, Iraq, India, Malawi, Ethiopia, Zambia, Liberia, Kenya, Gambia and Sierra Leone must have a hotel reservation at their own expense for a period of 4 days. / 3 nights in one of the approved hotels, provided that the hotel buses take over the transportation of passengers, and the passenger is also subject to another PCR examination during the period of their stay

4. All arrivals to Rafic Hariri International Airport are subject to a PCR examination, except for those under 12 years old and UNIFIL forces Exceptions:

1. Those coming to Lebanon who received the Corona vaccine in a period of no less than two weeks or were infected with the Corona virus within a period of 90 days preceding the date of their travel to Lebanon are exempted from conducting a PCR examination from the countries from which they came, provided that they undergo a PCR examination at the airport.

2. The incoming aircraft crews are allowed for a period not exceeding 48 hours from conducting a PCR examination at the airport, if they adhere to the quarantine until their departure.

3. The hotel quarantine excludes national and foreign diplomatic missions and their families, passengers who have received at least one dose of the vaccine, passengers transiting to Syria, minor passengers (under 18 years old).
