Active in the Lake District

Green hills – blue lakes! A gentle lake area far from mass tourism. Ideal for amateur cyclists, racing cyclists, bike tours and lakeside hikers. Certain cycling trails take you farther afield, such as the Barocktour, the Bajuwaren trail, the Mozart trail and the Tauernrad trail, past some very interesting places. A particularly interesting cycling trip is the tour from “Herbal Garden to Herbal Garden”, leading through all the villages in the Lake District. Charging points for electric bikes are provided en route.

Another interesting path leads through the Buchberg National Park, with its newly-bu- ilt childrens’ playground and magnificent panoramic view from the observation deck. Then in Seeham there is the mysterious “Devils Gorge” with its old flint mill.

This idyllic area provides numerous facilities for water- rats, such as surfing, stand-up paddling, sailing, kite surfing and of course swimming. We will willingly send you the Cyclists Map and Excursion Suggestions on request. An interactive cycling map is available under www.salzburger-seenland.at/en World of Herbs
