    January 11, 2021 COVID VACCINATION CLINIC FOR ALL BREWSTER RESIDENTS JANUARY 14 Representatives from CVS Pharmacy will be vaccinating all Assisted and Independent Living residents in the Cultural Arts Center at the Brewster Events Center this Thursday, January 14. You must have submitted a consent form to Brewster by close of business last Friday (Jan. 8) to receive the vaccine this week. Please use the schedule below to assure crowds do not form as people wait. Please do not form a line until your designated time. • 10:00 am - 10:30 am – Assisted Living residents • 10:30 am -12:00 pm – The Evergreens residents • 12:00 pm - 12:50 pm -- Oak, Maple, Cedar residents • 12:50 pm - 1:50 pm -- Birchwood, Grand Homes, and Cottonwood Villa residents • 1:50 pm - 2:50 pm -- Aspen Cottages, South and North Terrace residents • 2:50 pm - 3:50 pm -- Redwood residents Transportation will run through campus to assure residents who need transportation to the Cultural Arts Center receive it. This is also a great opportunity to use the new bridge to travel indoors from Redwood through the Veterans Hall of Honor to the Cultural Arts Center. Once arriving at the Cultural Arts Center, you will complete an additional form for CVS. This form will be coupled with a copy of your insurance card. (Please bring your Medicare or other insurance card with you the day of the vaccination in case there is an issue with the copy attached to your original consent form). The shot will be administered into your upper arm. Please dress appropriately.

    Regular Meeting January 11, 2021 Page 1 of 5 The Police Jury met in regular session assembled with the following members present: Sidney Fontenot, Ryan Williams, Ryan Ardoin, Daniel Arvie, Bryan Vidrine, Kevin Veillon, Keith Saucier, Lamar Johnson, and Eric Soileau. All members were present. There were no comments from the public regarding the agenda items. A public hearing was then opened to hear comments and/or questions on the Jury authorizing the collection of a local hospital assessment payment. A representative was present to address the Jury in requesting the Jury to enact an ordinance for the assessment of a levy for an occupational license tax on the local hospital. The reason behind this assessment is to allow the hospital to draw down more Medicare dollars from the federal government. Being there were no further comments the public hearing was declared closed. The Floor was then opened for nomination for the office of President and Vice President for the fiscal year 2021. On motion of Bryan Vidrine, Ryan Williams was nominated for the office of President. Motion was made by Bryan Vidrine and seconded by Ryan Ardoin that nominations are closed and Ryan Williams is hereby appointed as President for the fiscal year 2021. On motion of Daniel Arvie, Bryan Vidrine was nominated for the office of Vice-President. Motion was made by Daniel Arvie and seconded by Ryan Ardoin that nominations are closed and Bryan Vidrine is hereby appointed as Vice-President for the fiscal year 2021. Motion was made by Sidney Fontenot and seconded by Eric Soileau approving the appointment of Committee Members for the FY 2021.

Based on conditions as of August 1, yields are expected to average 174.6 bushels per harvested acre, up 2.6 bushels from last year. Area harvested for grain is forecast at 84.5 million acres, unchanged from the June forecast, but up 2 percent from the previous year. Soybean production for beans is forecast at 4.34 billion bushels, up 5 percent from 2020. Based on conditions as of August 1, yields are expected to average 50.0 bushels per harvested acre, down 0.2 bushel from 2020. Area harvested for beans in the United States is forecast at 86.7 million acres, unchanged from the previous forecast but up 5 percent from 2020. All cotton production is forecast at 17.3 million 480-pound bales, up 18 percent from 2020. Based on conditions as of August 1, yields are expected to average 800 pounds per harvested acre, down 47 pounds from 2020. Upland cotton production is forecast at 16.9 million 480-pound bales, up 20 percent from 2020. Pima cotton production is forecast at 371,000 bales, down 32 percent from 2020.
