FALL 2014 LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT Lead us Laurence men.

Dear Friends of St. Laurence,

We accomplished much this past year, and know that our voyage has been rewarding and challenging. As Vikings, we are determined explorers who are passionate for innovation and discovery for the betterment of the team.

As a school, we take pride in our courageous attitude that provides exclusive opportunities for our students. We are taking the lead to provide a unique academic experience that is unlike any other Catholic high school.

This voyage was filled with risks, but with faith in the mission we created an exclusive curriculum, sched- ule, and leadership opportunities. We partnered with DePaul University to offer cutting-edge professional development, mentoring, and consultation to support the continued growth and success of our StL STEM curriculum. We partnered with Lewis University, offering real-world methodologies within a values-centered curriculum while providing leadership advisors and professors to our students for a dual enrollment course. To further enhance the applied learning environment, we continued our corporate partnerships with Kinder Morgan and the United States Army Corps of Engineers.

We know how important athletics is to our alumni. We will navigate this challenging athletic environment while defending the glory of the black and gold. Tim Chandler, Athletic Director, continues to enrich our personnel and programs. Our new coaches, including Jeff Clemens, Matt Prunckle, Jim Maley, and Amy Keating have the values required and commitment needed to enhance our teams. They complement our last two years of hires, including Harold Blackmon, Jim Gahagan, Dennis Foley, Joe Sinisi, and Ryan Denson. Be on the lookout for continued athletic success!

We need your help promoting the essential elements of the Edmund Rice Christian Brothers. You are the foundation for success in helping us achieve our vision: becoming the premier school of choice for boys where taking risks as a team is encouraged and a disciplined, committed, and diverse family environment is evident.

We look forward to your continued support as you lead us on our future endeavors. Thank you and God Bless.

Warm Regards,
