Hubbard is just the fi fth RB to receive the award, and fi rst since 2002. James Lynch is the second Baylor defensive tackle to be named Defensive Player of the Year along with Andrew Billings in 2015. He and Billings are also the only two Bears to earn both Defensive Player and Defensive Lineman of the Year in the same season.
