Brussels airport (Zaventem) • 28 miles or 35 minutes drive from Antwerp city centre. • National carrier: SN Brussels Airlines (http://www.flysn.com) • Transport from/to the airport: o SN Brussels Airlines offers a “Express bus” shuttle service o By train (recommended): to Antwerp-Central approx. every 30 minutes. These stations are about 3 minutes from each other, Every hour, 15 IC, IR or L-trains stop from/to Antwerp. The Thalys train, which runs between Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam stops in Antwerpen-Berchem. Make sure you arrive in Antwerpen-Centraal. From there, it is a 15 min walk to the conference venue. More information on trains can be found on: http://www.b-rail.be By bus (Antwerp Rooseveltplaats) Most busses stop at the Antwerp Rooseveltplaats in the city center, approximately 5 min from the conference venue. By car Coming to Antwerp by car is not recommended. Trafic in the city centre is congested, and there are some road works going on on the main axes to and through the city. Many streets in the area around the conference venue are narrow and one-way. Free parking is nearly non-existent, you can follow P-route signs to big public parking lots (the closest is “Meir – Universiteit”, parking Sint-Jacob, which is in the street of the conference venue (13.20 euro/day)). .
