As a student-athlete at LSU, Harper was a seven-time All-American, four-time SEC Champion and team captain in 1988. He also competed in the 1984 and 1988 Olympic Games on the British National Team where he was a member of the 400-meter Medley Relay team that finished sixth at the 1984 games and fourth in the 1988 games.

Harper and his wife, Paige, who was also an All-American and SEC champion swimmer at LSU, have two daughters, Katherine and Kelly. Head Coaching Resume

He holds a combined 186-53 (.777) record in his 19 1984, 1988 Two-Time Olympian with Great Britian years as a women’s head coach.

During his coaching career, Harper has worked with nearly 200 student-athletes, both individual and relay All-Time Razorback Coaches swimmers, who have produced NCAA All-America honors. He posted a 159-38 (.807) 1997-98 Anne Goodman James 1-10 9th (SEC) -- record with the women’s team and went 112-45 (.713) with the men’s team. The Seminole women reached 1996-97 Anne Goodman James 1-7 9th (SEC) -- double-digit win totals in nine seasons under Harper, including a program record 17-3 campaign in 2008. 1995-96 Martin Smith 1-3 9th (SEC) 36th His winning percentage and total wins with the Seminole women rank first in program history. In the 1994-95 Martin Smith 7-3 9th (SEC) 33rd classroom, his women’s team earned NCAA All-Academic Team honors seven consecutive years with an 1993-94 Martin Smith 5-3 9th (SEC) -- overall team GPA above 3.2 from 2007-13. In addition, Harper was named ACC Coach of the Year in 2004, 1992-93 Martin Smith 7-4 9th (SEC) 32nd 2006 and 2007. 1991-92 Martin Smith 10-1 8th (SEC) 39th 1990-91 Martin Smith 9-2 3rd (SWC) 27th Harper’s head coaching career began with Ohio State in 1997, where he spent two seasons as the 1989-90 Martin Smith 5-2 3rd (SWC) 25th Buckeyes’ head women’s coach. He posted a 15-12 mark and helped qualify six student-athletes to the 1988-89 Martin Smith 5-1 3rd (SWC) 22nd NCAA Championships. In the classroom, Ohio State excelled as well as both of his teams earned NCAA All-Academic selections. Within the conference, the Buckeyes received more than 20 Academic All-Big Ten 1987-88 Martin Smith 8-3 3rd (SWC) 17th Conference honors. 1986-87 K. Kirchner/M. Smith 6-3 6th (SWC) -- 1985-86 Kent Kirchner 3-4 6th (SWC) 25th Before his arrival in Columbus, Ohio, Harper served as the top assistant at Florida State from 1994-97. One 1984-85 Sam Freas 4-3 6th (SWC) 16th of his main duties was to coordinate the Seminoles’ recruiting efforts. During that time, Florida State pro- 1983-84 Sam Freas 4-3 5th (SWC) -- duced numerous All-Americans, including the Seminoles’ first NCAA champion. SIGRUN SVERRISDOTTIR Sigrun Sverrisdottir was a representative of Iceland during the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. She competed in the 200 freestyle at the 2008 Games and is the Icelandic National Champion. She broke the national record in the 100, 200, and 400 freestyle events in 2008.

Sigrun Sverrisdottir ZSUZSA CSOBANKI Part of the Hungarian National Team, Zsuzsa Csobanki competed at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece. She raced in the 50-meter freestyle at the Games and is a four-time Hungarian National Champion.

Zsuzsa Csobanki YI-TING SIOW Yi-Ting Siow marked her third Olympic appearance at the 2008 Summer Games in Beijing. As part of the Malaysian team, Siow competed in the 200 breast and the 200 and 400-individual medley. She picked up 19th overall in the 200 breast, where she set the Malaysian record with a time of 2:27.80. Siow also competed in the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia and the 2004 Games in Athens, Greece. Siow is a two-time SEC Champion in the 200 breast. Yi-Ting Siow

NATALIA KODAJOVA Natalia Kodajova competed in the 1996 Olympic Games for the country of Slovakia. She swam in the 100 and 200 breast events for Slovakia and was also a part of the 1999 and 2001 World University games. She was honored as the team’s most valuable player in 1999 and 2001.

CHERYL MCARTON At age 18, Cheryl McArton competed with the Canadian team at the 1984 Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles. She was part of the 4x100 meter freestyle relay team and helped Canada place fifth at the games. McArton held six Arkansas records at the end of her career.
