ARKANSAS FOOTBALL POSTGAME NOTES Nov. 29, 2013 at LSU – Tiger Stadium

Team Notes The Arkansas defense recorded 3.0 sacks in the game. Entering today’s game, LSU had only allowed 2.0 sacks at home all season.

Arkansas was 5-of-5 on Red Zone trips and finishes the season 30-of-38 (.789) in the Red Zone this season. Kiero Small scored a three-yard rushing in the 1st quarter. Brandon Allen threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to Hunter Henry and Zach Hocker converted a 20-yard field goal in the 2nd quarter. In the 3rd quarter, Hocker made a 28-yard field goal and Allen connected with Henry on a 2-yard touchdown pass

Individual Notes Alex Collins became the 2nd Razorback freshman, 10th true freshman in SEC history and 68th true freshman in NCAA history to reach 1,000 rushing yards. Collins also became the 11th Razorback and first since Knile Davis in 2010 to eclipse 1,000 rushing yards in a season. With 28 yards in the game, Collins finishes the season with 1,026. The other SEC true freshmen to rush for 1,000 yards are (1,616 in 1980), Todd Gurley (1,385 in 2012), (1,364 in 1997), (1,341 in 1987), Marcus Lattimore (1,197 in 2010), Darren McFadden (1,113 in 2005), T.J. Yeldon (1,108 in 2012), Michael Dyer (1,093 in 2010) and Justin Vincent (1,001 in 2003)

Alex Collins moved into 15th on Arkansas’ single-season rushing list. With 28 yards today, Collins finished the season with 1,026, passing James Rouse (1,004 in 1987) and Ben Cowins (1,006 in 1978)

Travis Swanson started his 50th game today. In records dating back to 1994, he joins Jerry Franklin (50, 2008-11) as the only Razorbacks to start 50 games in a career.

Zach Hocker broke the Arkansas career field goals made record. With two today, Hocker ends his career with 61 made field goals, breaking the previous record of 60 held by Todd Wright (1989-92)

Zach Hocker finished his Arkansas career as the school’s record holder in field goal percentage. Hocker finished his collegiate career making 61-of-79 field goal attempts (77.2 percent), breaking the previous record of 75.9 percent held by Todd Wright (1989-92)

Zach Hocker moved into 2nd on the Arkansas career field goals attempted list. With 2 field goal attempts in the game, Hocker ends his career with 79 field goal attempts, tied with Todd Wright (1989-92)

Zach Hocker moved into 8th on the SEC’s career scoring list. With nine points today, Hocker has 354 in his career, passing Kevin Butler (353, Georgia, 1981-84) and Phillip Doyle (345, Alabama, 1987-90)

Zach Hocker moved into a tie for 10th on the SEC’s career field goals made list. With two makes today, Hocker has 61 in his career, tied with Kanon Parkman (Georgia, 1991-95), David Browndyke (LSU, 1986-89) and Jeff Hall (Tennessee, 1995-98)

Trey Flowers moved into a tie for 11th on the Arkansas career tackles for loss list. With 1.0 tackle for loss in the game, Flowers now has 32.0 in his career, tied with Dan Hampton (1975-78)

Brandon Allen moved into a tie for 12th on the Arkansas single-season passing list. With 2 passing touchdowns in the game, Allen now has 13 on the season, tied with Casey Dick (2008) and Robby Hampton (2000).

Keon Hatcher recorded single-game career highs for receptions and receiving yards. The sophomore finished the game with 7 catches for 84 yards

Alan Turner recorded the 3rd interception of his career and 2nd of the season, picking off a Zach Mettenberger pass in the 3rd quarter.

Game Notes Senior linebacker Jarrett Lake wore number 98 in honor of senior captain Robert Thomas, whose season ended early due to an injury. A member of the Razorbacks has worn number 98 each game since Thomas was injured vs. No. 14 South Carolina.
