SCARSDALE FORUM SPEAKERS SERIES RETURNS THIS FALL

SCARSDALE NATIVE TO DISCUSS “POLITICAL COMEDY IN THE CURRENT AGE”

SCARSDALE, NY (10/23/17) -- Television writer, actor and comedian Peter Grosz will discuss “Political Comedy in the Current Age” in the next installment of the Scarsdale Forum Sunday Speakers Series, on Sunday, October 29, 2017. All members of the public are welcome to attend this event, which will be held at the Scarsdale Woman’s Club, 37 Drake Road, Scarsdale, NY. at 3:00 pm. There is no charge for attending.

Grosz grew up in Scarsdale, and attended Heathcote Elementary, Scarsdale Middle School and Scarsdale High School. He moved to Chicago to study at Northwestern, which is where he began his improv training, first at iO Chicago and then at Second City, where he wrote and performed in four reviews on the ETC stage.

Grosz has appeared in films such as Stranger Than Fiction, Slow Learners, Aardvark and Rough Night, and TV shows including Key and Peele, , , and Vinyl, with a recurring role on . He wrote for Late Night With , received two Emmys for his writing on , and currently is an executive producer and plays on . He is a regular panelist on NPR’s Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me and appears in a long-running commercial campaign for Sonic Drive-In.

Scarsdale Forum

The Scarsdale Forum is a 501(c)(3) civic organization dedicated to discussion and analysis of all issues relevant to Scarsdale residents. Since 1904, the Forum has contributed meaningfully to Village affairs through its written reports, public speaker events, and committee discussions. Membership is available to all Scarsdale and Mamaroneck Strip residents regardless of citizenship status.
