You can fly into Beef Island on Tortola or the more popular St Thomas Airport and hop aboard the Charlotte Amalie ferry for a scenic ride over to Tortola. Your catamaran "home" will be a short taxi ride away from the ferry dock in Tortola. For early arrivals, take a stroll to Nanny Cay Marina, where you can relax on the beach or sample the local cuisine at a seaside restaurant. Upon boarding, you'll enjoy cocktails while watching your first Caribbean sunset followed by a delicious dinner prepared by the yacht's chef. Cruising Day 1: The Caves on Norman Island, a short sail across the sheltered Sir Frances Drake Channel, brings you to your first experience of the beauty and splendor of the BVI, both above and below the surface. Snorkeling in what seems like an aquarium teaming with thousands of the most colorful fish. Your crew will explain the history of these caves and the treasure troves that have been found! A five minute motor around the headland brings us into "The Bight" on Norman Island, home of the famous "William Thornton", a floating bar and restaurant known to many as the "Willy T". Cruising Day 2: Freshly brewed coffee, a wonderful breakfast and a plunge off the back deck is the start to our sail along the coast of Peter Island, past Dead Chest Atoll and into Salt Island, all in protected, calm waters. Salt Island is the graveyard for the R.M.S Rhone which sunk off its Eastern point with all on board in 1896. This is one of the most famous wrecks in the world for scuba divers to explore. For those who are qualified, a Dive Master will accompany you for this unforgettable experience. For Non-divers, snorkel over the stern section or take a walk around the shoreline in search of buried treasure. Next we sail to The Baths at Virgin Gorda. Walk through the batholitic granite caves and formations to Devils Bay where your crew will meet you with a refreshing, packed cooler and your snorkel gear. We enjoy lunch back on the boat and then off we go for an hour's sail up the spectacular coast of Virgin Gorda and The Bitter End Yacht Club. Go ashore after dinner and take in a typical BVI evening with your favorite Rum Punch and Steel Drum Band. Cruising Day 3: Today we hoist all the sails and run out our fishing lines for a two hour cruise to the flat coral-sand island of Anegada with its endless white beaches. Feel the "talcum powder" under your feet while you stroll along the deserted beach. Tonight is your first night dining ashore. The prolific lobster population of this Island ensures a lobster meal second to none. Choose your lobster and watch it sizzle on the beach BBQ in front of the Anegada Reef Hotel or select a meal from the specials of the evening. Cruising Day 4: Another super sail back to Mountain Point on Virgin Gorda where we stop for lunch and fantastic snorkeling amongst the granite boulders. From here, we sail through the Dog Islands to Marina Cay, a private Island Resort off the East side of Tortola. Michael Bean will entertain you with Pirate songs with his guitar and harmonica during happy hour on the top of the island. Dinner on board and a good nights rest in this calm anchorage will prepare you for the exciting day ahead. Cruising Day 5: After coffee, we move to Monkey Point on Guana Island for breakfast. A snorkel around the unusual coral outcrops will reveal some strange marine creatures not often encountered. Lunch is at a unique little Islet off the Island of Jost van Dyke. With a good coverage of shade and a few palm trees, walk around this Island in just five minutes and snorkel the surrounding coral reef. Its nearly happy hour time at the world famous Foxy's on Jost van Dyke. Pin up a garment of clothing with your name written on it in Foxy's bar to join the many hundreds from all over the world. Cruising Day 6: White Bay, just around the corner from Foxy's, is a spectacular strip of white sand fringed with coconut palms. Put your dollars into you pocket and swim ashore to the Soggy Dollar Bar, where the original "Painkiller" cocktail was conceived. We spend a leisurely day here before returning to Tortola, checking in at the famous Soppers Hole. This is the last night where you will dine ashore and enjoy late evening entertainment. Cruising Day 7: After breakfast, we take a short cruise around to our base. Joyful memories and new made friends, we wish everyone farewell until the next cruise with us. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ST JOHN & US VIRGIN ISLANDS In response to the popularity of the Virgin Islands and at the requests from many of our clients to explore some of the other locations in this beautiful region, we have created a USVI itinerary which embarks out of our main base in Nanny Cay in Tortola. On this seven day charter, we highlight the beauty and allure of St John as we experience its fantastic anchorages and attractions along with a few of the hotspots in the British Virgin Islands which make this region of the Caribbean a sailor’s paradise. With two thirds for St. John made up of national park, this popular destination is recognized as one of the most beautiful islands in the Virgin Islands. Less is more on St. John. It's the smallest, quietest, least populated and most secluded of the three U.S. Virgin Islands, where even the residents of neighboring St. Thomas and St. Croix come to get away from it all. That's not to say there isn't a plethora of tourist-friendly beaches (all 44 are open to the public) and frosty blender drinks. Shore excursions run the gamut from snorkeling to eco-hikes. And there's shopping, of course, though truth be told local handicrafts hold their own against mass-produced duty-free goods -- St. John's tranquility has transformed it into artists' community of sorts, and several have stores in town. Much of the development is confined to Cruz Bay, St. John's only real town. Otherwise, St. John's unspoiled beauty is its main draw. Though the island is only about nine miles long, it takes about an hour to drive from Cruz Bay to the east end along winding roads; St. John rewards those who explore on foot, networked with hiking trails that lead to historical sites and hidden coves. St. John will be our central point throughout the charter with excursions over to St Thomas as well as Jost Van Dyke and other favorites of the British Virgin Islands. Day of Arrival We welcome you aboard at our home base at Nanny Cay in Tortola, BVI. After a cocktail, we depart for Norman Island for a beautiful dinner in The Bight. We enjoy a relaxing evening under the stars… or for a bit more excitement you can take in the world famous nightlife that can only be experienced at the floating bar “The William Thorton”. Sailing Day One We awake to the smell of fresh coffee and breakfast as we get ready for a morning of snorkeling The Indians. These incredible rock formations, reach up from 50 feet off the ocean floor forming beautiful rock pinnacles that reach toward the sky. Colorful corals make for a natural aquarium where you can snorkel through the rock saddle into an incredible shallow blue pool. Don’t forget the camera to capture incredible underwater shots. After lunch back at the boat, we sail to the south side of St. John’s Cruz Bay. After a quick check in at customs, we spend the afternoon exploring the fantastic shops this main hub of St John. Back on to the boat and then we’re off to Caneel Bay where we’ll spend the evening enjoying the beautiful beaches and you can experience the amazing 170 acre resort created by Laurance Rockefeller. Sailing Day Two Today we head toward St Thomas the island of Great St. James. Located just off the southeast tip of St. Thomas, this small island offers some incredible snorkeling in its sheltered Christmas Cove. With a small inlet in the middle of the cove, there is easy snorkel right from the yacht. The Stragglers, a rocky outcropping leading south from the island of Great St. James itself is another popular spot we’re sure not to miss. After a day exploring the cove, we enjoy an evening under the stars with a fantastic dinner and cocktails. Sailing Day Three Today we hoist the sails and head for some of the incredible beaches of St John’s National Park. In the 1950s, the Rockefeller family donated more than 5,000 acres of land to the Federal government. St. John boasts, not just one or two perfect beaches, but beach after pristine beach. We take our pick, drop anchor, enjoy a delicious lunch and then spend the afternoon basking in the sun. That afternoon, we head for Leinster Bay, a beautiful secluded beach where we have dinner and enjoy the evening sky. Sailing Day Four This morning, we take advantage of the great snorkeling which makes Leinster Bay popular.
