On Friday 6th March we hosted our annual Race Night in St Fagans Cricket Ground. The event was a great success and an enjoyable evening was had by all. We raised nearly £1250 for the playgroup and would like to thank all who supported us. Thank you to everyone who attended, bought horses, sold raffle tickets and/or donated raffle prizes. Thank you also to our race sponsors and to everyone at the Cricket Ground for their kindness. 14 Junior Christmas Concert St David’s Day Celebrations Year 6 Clean Up! While some of our class were in Helsinki, Pentyrch School Helsinki Trip the rest of us have been very busy! Year 6 pupils have been clearing, cutting and sawing. We have been creating a wildlife area behind our classroom. The idea was to make a mini­beast habitat and a hedgehog house. We used old pallets to make them and painted them. We have also put up bird feeders and a bird table. We also made a toad home out of a plant pot. While we were working, Mr. Jones came out and showed us an oak tree which he planted with his class in 1980. Since we carried out this work, we have seen blackbirds, robins, blue­tits, great­ tits and magpies. A wood pigeon we call Sammy is also a regular visitor!
