The PGA Europro Tour is the only officially recognised satellite Tour in the UK, and one of the leading Tours in Europe. We are the only Tour in the UK that offers direct access to the European Challenge Tour through our Final Order of Merit. In the forthcoming season there will be up to 15 tournaments between April and November kicking off at the iconic Brabazon course at the Belfry. PGA Europro Tour members will compete for total prize money of around £600,000. One of the primary goals of the PGA Europro Tour is to enable players to perform at the highest possible level and prepare them for life as a Tour Professional. HISTORY MAKER GOLF Championship Golf Game • Course Summaries Course Collection ONE Blackjack GC, Las Vegas NV / based on TPC SUMMERLIN TPC Summerlin’s layout, carved from a magnificent swath of rugged desert terrain by renowned golf course architect Bobby Weed, provides a good reference for the Blackjack GC. TPC Summerlin’s lush bentgrass greens, numerous water features and an abundance of pine trees all contrast dramatically with undisturbed desert washes. The course features four closing holes that deliver top flight golf drama. The final charge begins with the par 4, 15th hole – a drivable par 4 that will temp most players. If the tee shot misses the green, an “up and down” birdie is possible, but not easy, due to the severely elevated and undulated green – which is surrounded by five bunkers that regularly attract stray tee shots. The 16th hole is a relatively downhill par-5 that is reachable with two good shots. The green is guarded by water short of the green, and bunkers beyond. Only a mid-iron will be necessary for the second shot, with a birdie almost a certainty. A challenging and un-nerving par-3, the 17th hole plays downhill with the green guarded closely by a lake on the left and by bunkers on the right. Par is good score and birdies are rare, should players need to make up ground. The 18th is a well-designed and strategic finishing hole which moves right to left off the tee. The green is protected on the left by a lake. An aggressive tee shot with the driver can leave the player just a short iron to a very deep green from front to back. -

SPORTING LEGENDS: SEVE BALLESTEROS SPORT: GOLF COMPETITIVE ERA: 1974 - 2008 Severiano "Seve" Ballesteros (born 9 April 1957 in Pedreña, Spain) is a Spanish golfer who was one of the sport's leading figures in the 1980s and 1990s. Ballesteros turned professional in March 1974 at the age of 16. In 1976, he burst onto the international scene with a second-place finish in The Open Championship; he went on to win the European Tour Order of Merit (money title) that year, and repeated his Order of Merit win the following two years. He would go on to win the Order of Merit six times, a record at that time (since surpassed by Colin Montgomerie). Ballesteros went on to win five major championships: The Masters: 1980, 1983 His 1980 win was the first at Augusta by a European player. The Open Championship: 1979, 1984, 1988. He was also a great at match play; he won the World Match Play Championship five times, and was a mainstay of the European Ryder Cup team for much of the 1980s and 1990s. He scored 20 points out of 37 matches against the United States; his partnership with José María Olazábal was one of the most successful in the history of the competition, with 11 wins and two halved matches out of 15 pairs matches. While Ballesteros was a member of European sides that won the Ryder Cup in 1985, retained the Cup in 1987 and 1989, and regained the Cup in 1995, the pinnacle of his career in the competition came in 1997, when he captained the winning European side at Valderrama Golf Club in Sotogrande, Spain. -
