Girls Set Out for a Championship On the night of February 27, 2015, the Madera South girls’ soccer team stepped onto the field without knowing that they would be making history for Madera South. An intense game had been played for more than an hour as the teams went back and forth creating a scoreless tie. It wasn’t until junior Kimberly Montoya broke this tie in the 66th minute that the Central Valley Christian team knew they were in for a battle. The game only intensified from this point on, and the girls knew that they had to continue to fight for the win.
