PLEASE READ THE SAFE OPERATING INFORMATION IN THIS DOCUMENT FIRST.

*New Location for 2021 - The Show Office, located inside the Rosati building (Bricker Building), will open at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, March 2. During move-in the Show Office will be located near the concession area along the north wall. Registration will be during move-in hours. Prior to the opening of the show, all exhibitors must register – in other words, check in with the Show Office to receive move-in materials for access to the event. The Show Office will be open during operational hours starting with move-in, during the event and through move out.

3 Moving In

WORKERS MUST CHECK IN AT THE SHOW OFFICE FIRST. MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES. Any exhibitor using soil, sand, mulch, stone, brick or any other type of building materials in their display MUST use a layer of heavy protective plastic between building materials and the concrete floor. Each exhibitor assumes full liability to any damage caused to concrete surface by exhibitor’s display. Delivery of equipment and installation cannot begin before the time designated for your booth location. To identify your designated time, locate your booth position on the floor plan on the enclosed Move-in Schedule insert. Note the shading of your booth area on the diagram, and match it with the Move-in Schedule key. If a move-in time line splits your space, you must abide by the schedule specified for each area. Event staff will be reasonably available to assist with the move-in of your exhibit at no cost to you. All exhibits must be complete by 8 a.m., Saturday, March 6.

Moving Out

MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES. All exhibits MUST remain in place until the show closes at 6 p.m. on the last day, Sunday, March 14. NO EXCEPTIONS! Move-out hours on Sunday, March 14, are from 6 - 8 p.m. See specific information below for Monday, March 15, times. For improved security during move-out, make sure all materials that can easily be picked up and carried are removed first, and not left overnight. Make arrangements to have help during move- out. Purchase Guest Tickets in Advance

Invite your customers and save! General Admission tickets for 2021 are only available ONLINE at $10 for adults, $5 for children and additional discounts for selected audiences on selected days. Each Exhibitor will receive 15 free Exhibitor Guest admission tickets with your first booth purchase – up to 30 tickets maximum for exhibitors that purchase multiple booths – so you can invite your best customers or prospects to see you at the show.

*NEW FOR 2021 - All Exhibitor Guest tickets require the guest to register online using the unique promotion code printed on the Exhibitor Guest ticket to zero out the fee, then receive their admission ticket electronically. 6 Exhibitor Safe Operating Practices The Spring Dispatch Home & Garden Show is operated by The Columbus Dispatch, part of Gannett USA TODAY. We are doing everything we can to protect our exhibitors, vendors, staff, volunteers and the public. To this end, we will be following the Center of Disease Control (CDC) and local health department guidelines with regard to social distancing practices in order to reduce the spread of Novel Coronavirus, or COVID-19. This will require our exhibitors, vendors, staff and volunteers to maintain six (6) feet of distance between themselves and the public, as much as possible. We will also be requiring this same procedure for attendee-to-attendee contact in order to limit the exposure to all individuals.

We will require all individuals (exhibitors, vendors, staff, volunteers, and attendees) to wear face masks or coverings. We will also require everyone to either wash or sanitize their hands after using the restroom, sneezing, coughing, and before eating, and to sanitize their hands frequently.

If we all work together, we can overcome the spread of this virus as well as other infectious diseases. As a participant, you and your workers agree to comply with the written instructions below. Failure to comply with these written instructions or verbal instructions from staff may result in your removal from the venue.

IN BOOTH ● Maximum of 2 booth workers per 10x10 booth ● Booth workers will take their temperature before reporting to work, and anyone with a temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher is required to stay home; booth worker temperatures will be checked at exhibitor entrances before entry is permitted ● Do not employ high-risk employees as booth workers ● Avoid using High Contact Surfaces such as Spinning Wheels and have attendees avoid touching surfaces or samples. Limited Vendors License

The State of Ohio requires a limited vendor’s license for vendors without a fixed place of business within Franklin County. The fee for this license is approximately $25. Insurance Requirements

Neither Gannett Ventures LLC (“Dispatch”) nor the Ohio Expo Center (“Center”) shall be responsible for loss or damage occurring to the Exhibitor, its property, or its agents from any cause. Small and valuable exhibit materials should be packed away each night. The Exhibitor agrees to protect, indemnify, and hold harmless Dispatch and Center against any and all claims for loss, injury or damage to persons or property arising out of the activities (whether negligent, intentional or reckless) of the Exhibitor, his/her agents, employees, invitees, licensees, or guests, to defend the Dispatch and the Center against any and all such claims and to reimburse and indemnify Dispatch and Center for any loss, damage, expense (including, but not limited to, reasonable attorneys’ fees) or payment suffered thereby. Exhibitor shall maintain in effect and supply the Dispatch with certificates of insurance which name Dispatch and Center as additional insured for comprehensive general liability insurance with combined bodily injury and property damage limits of $500,000 each occurrence and $1,000,000 aggregate, and an umbrella liability insurance policy with limits of $1,000,000.

Liquor Control Policy

In conjunction with the State of Ohio Department of Liquor Control (Sec. 4301.62), all agents, employees, guests or exhibitors are prohibited from selling, giving away or bringing upon the premises, any intoxicating liquor, liquids or compounds. This section does not apply to liquor lawfully purchased through the liquor license holder of the building (Cox Concessionaire).

Building Rules and City Ordinances

The Exhibitor agrees to obey all rules of the Ohio Expo Center, which may now be in existence or which hereafter may be made, and to abide by the rules and regulations of the Columbus Department of Building, Fire and Health codes and such other Departments whose duties embrace regulations of exhibits.

10 Exhibit Requirements

Remember: Quality Booth Appearance is a Must! The first impression you make with show visitors is through the quality of your exhibit. It is very IMPORTANT to your success that you plan your display carefully to realize your share of this profitable marketplace.

The following rules and regulations have been designed for your protection and for that of the public and fellow exhibitors. Exceptions will be granted infrequently and must be obtained from Show Management in writing. Please avoid problems by reading the following material carefully.

1. All booth arrangements shall conform in all signage is permitted on posts or walls. No Tents Policy

● The Ohio Expo Center no longer permits pop-up tents, etc. in their buildings. Please adhere to this policy as you will be required to remove a tent if one is set-up.

Sound

Exhibitors operating sound, motion picture equipment, loudspeakers, or any other noise-creating devices, shall do so only at a level, which will not interfere with other exhibitors or create any undue acoustic inconvenience.

Maintenance

Aisles will be swept nightly after closing at no cost to the exhibitor, but you will be required to keep your booth clean and neat at all times. Trash may be placed in the aisle for pickup at the end of each day.

Security

Show Management provides overnight guard service for surveillance of the premises; however, you are responsible for your own products. We highly recommend that portable products, which are not securely fastened to your display, be removed from the exhibit when it is not occupied.

Prize/Give-away Registration

Show Management must approve all registrations. All prizes and give-away program winners must be contacted within two days (48 hours) after the show closes. Names, addresses and phone numbers of all winners must be brought to the Show Office prior to the closing of the show. All prizes and giveaways must relate directly to your area of business. If you plan to offer a prize or give-away at your exhibit, you must complete and return the online Prize/Give-away Registration form.

Ohio Law, 109: 4-3-06: It shall be a deceptive act of practice in connection with a consumer transaction for a supplier to, in any way, notify any consumer or prospective consumer that the consumer has: 1) won a prize or will receive anything or value, or 2) been selected, or is eligible, to win a prize, receive anything of value, conditioned on; listening to or observing a sales promotion effort or the payment of a deposit, service charge, handling charge, mailing charge or similar charge.

Exhibitors whose displays do not initially meet the standards will be required to modify their booth design before the show opens. An exhibitor seeking exemption from the height restrictions may apply in writing for a variance. Show Management will approve a variance only if the proposed display will clearly add quality to the show.
