We have explored some cost saving options LapEvening Swim to make the event more affordable and have been able to reduce the price for the Tri-fle. Plugging yourself into a triathlon can have huge health benefits, and

we hope these additions help make it an easy decision. Similarly, we saw an

opportunity to add in a high intensity aerobics offering, what we are calling,

Fit2O. This program requires no experience and can be a great way

to get or stay fit. Leveraging a partnership, we are proud to offer Special

Olympics Swimming this year, adding the opportunity for people with cognitive ,2018 rd

challenges to work with specially trained coaches on sharing in the benefits of OpenSwim

privileged to work with such a great group of people, and am constantly

As many of you recall, last year on September 12th, 2017 voters approved the city to borrow money for a renovation project! We are excited for this opportunity and are working diligently towards detailed design. As many of you recall, last year on September 12th, 2017 voters approved the city to borrow money for a swimming pool renovation project! We are excited for this opportunity and are working diligently towards detailed design. The mission of Rifle Parks and Recreation is: “To commit to build and

maintain parks, programs, facilities, and services necessary to establish Rifle as a

premier recreational community on the Western Slope of Colorado.” This mission

drives us to continue to adapt and grow at the community’s need to serve the

6pm 6pm 6pm We are amping up the triathlon opportunities, with a training group and a kids tri right before the Rifle Tri-fle. We have explored some cost saving options LapEvening Swim to make the event more affordable and have been able to reduce the price for the Tri-fle. Plugging yourself into a triathlon can have huge health benefits, and

we hope these additions help make it an easy decision. Similarly, we saw an

opportunity to add in a high intensity aerobics offering, what we are calling,

Fit2O. This program requires no swimming experience and can be a great way

to get or stay fit. Leveraging a partnership, we are proud to offer Special

Olympics Swimming this year, adding the opportunity for people with cognitive ,2018 rd

challenges to work with specially trained coaches on sharing in the benefits of OpenSwim

12:30pm 12:30pm water. Another notable addition are season passes. These have been added to 12:30pm make it a little more affordable to become a regular user. All of these programs are not possible without the incredible lifeguards,

instructors, coaches, and guest services that run the pool every day. I am

privileged to work with such a great group of people, and am constantly

impressed with their drive and dedication. Last year, the lifeguard staff Monday,September 3 th

competed in the state-wide Lifeguard Games at Water World and claimed 10 -

- - place. With nearly 400 lifeguards in the games, 10th was an awesome outcome. -

Of course, we are not perfect, but always welcome feedback to help us ,,2018

challenges we are working through, and the final layout and features are still

being finalized.

Sometimes I feel like telling people how great swimming is just doesn’t

quite do it justice. I can gush over it all I want, but it can’t really be appreciated Friday, 17August
