Many of our students use either CTA or Pace with Milwaukee, Harlem, and Demspter Street as the main routes. In order to find the most direct route to Notre Dame for you, simply call us at 847.779.8615. We will be happy to research the easiest way for you to get here! For junior and senior students who drive, Notre Dame has ample parking in its spacious lot for everyone. ndhs bussing system Notre Dame now offers its own morning-only bus service by making use of its six brand new mini-buses. These routes currently pick up students at the following elementary schools: Saint Viator, Saint Robert Bellarmine, Saint Cornelius, Edgebrook, Saint Hilary, Queen of All Saints, and Saint Mary of the Woods, amongst others. These routes are geared to better serve our students who do not have a direct route. Located in Niles, Illinois, on 28 wooded acres, Notre Dame currently enrolls over 830 students. Our students come from Chicago and 29 different suburban townships. Samuel Cardinal Stritch, the Catholic Archbishop of Chicago, and priests from the Congregation of Holy Cross from South Bend, Indiana, broke ground in Niles, Illinois. Priests and Brothers of the Congregation of Holy Cross expanded their educational ministry in the Archdiocese considerably with this new endeavor. At the beginning of his first year, each student and his family will meet with counselors to formulate his Plan, thereby establishing his unique path to success. faith & service As part of our Christian Service Learning Program, students attend monthly Mass, study the Catholic faith in the classroom, experience the sacraments of Eucharist and Reconciliation, make an annual retreat and serve the local community. By the time they graduate, Notre Dame students will have given a total of at least 115 hours in programs serving their school, parish and community. retreats and kairos Notre Dame’s four-year retreat program is designed to help our students develop a mature faith that can augment a solid academic foundation with a real desire to deepen one’s faith and relationship with God.
