Barrel Race For Families Ronald McDonald House Manitoba was proud to be the chosen charity for the Northern Lights Futurity “Barrel Race For A Cause” on August 31, 2012. This annual event is held in Brandon and features fun for cowboys and girls of all ages. In total the group raised $10,000 to keep families together through pledges and fundraising initiatives like a silent auction and prize draws. A group of dedicated volunteers work tirelessly each year to produce the event that attracts riders from Manitoba, across Canada and from the United States. We had so much fun at this event and are looking forward to being part of it again next year. Yeehaw! All Kinds of Fall Fun at Ronald McDonald House! Gone Scrappin’ In Bloom Breakfast Television In October one of our RMH moms decided On November 14 our friends at Citytv to host a fundraising event at her business featured us on Breakfast Television. We had in Rossburn, MB. the incredible opportunity to show viewers Gone Scrappin’ In Bloom held a variety of what we do at the House and Family events in support of the House including a Room and the integral part we play in the hamper drive, hot dog sale, and “crop for community. love” for scrapbooking enthusiasts. On top of all that we had a blast hanging Thank you, Kelly and your team for keeping out with the BT team and enjoyed learning RMH in your hearts! a little more about live television! Volunteer appreciation We could not do what we do without the support of our dedicated volunteers. In November we held a recognition evening at The Golf Dome where volunteers were thanked for their service and could enjoy an evening of friendship with other volunteers. Thank you to everyone who came out so we could show you how special you are!
