2. Management Conditions on Boundaries Boundary Conditions Critical boundaries Kempsey Road and Raspberry Road make up the northern and eastern boundaries of compartments 540, 541, 542 and 552. The northern part of compartment 540 is bound by private property and is fenced. The western boundary of compartments 540 and 541 is bound by the Styx River (National park). The southern boundary of compartment 541 and western boundaries of compartments 542 and 552 are bound by private property and are fenced. The southern boundary of compartment 552 is bound by Bob’s Fire trail. Damage to fence lines caused by harvesting operations shall be repaired immediately by the contractor. Debris must not be left within five meters of fence lines. Raspberry Road Raspberry Road is a council road and carries an intermittent volume of public traffic. A Traffic Control Plan (TCP) must be developed and implemented when harvesting within 2 tree lengths (see FCNSW Safety Procedure ‘4.11 – Traffic Management’ and SOP7). The local council has given consent to conduct roadworks along Raspberry Road. Cultural Heritage A Bora Ceremonial Ring has previously been identified within the ops area (see ops map). Surveys have been conducted between July and December 2015. Despite being unable to relocate the site a 20m buffer has been marked in the field for protection. Immediately prior to harvesting the marking must be checked by the FT. If any potential heritage sites are identified an interim 100m exclusion buffer must be applied and Planning Supervisor notified immediately. The interim buffer will apply until alternative prescriptions are approved in writing by the Planning Supervisor. SMZ / FMZ FMZ 2 and 3 a – occur and are mapped on HPOM as exclusion zones. FMZ 4 – Available and displayed on the HPOM as net harvest area. Normal harvest conditions apply.

Raspberry Road Tourist and local traffic Raspberry Road is a council road and carries an intermittent volume of public traffic. NPWS and another private operator (West Kunderang Recreational Retreat) run recreational facilities at the southern end of Raspberry Road. As Raspberry Road is the only access point for these facilities – both operators must be kept informed of operational activities or road conditions that may affect the access to these facilities. Contact details are available from the Harvest Planner.

Private Property Access Neighbours use Honey Gully Several PP gates occur on these forestry Road, Falls Road (North), Bobs roads. The gate south of Dump 18 must be Fire Trail and Raspberry Road for closed at the end of each day. Additionally, access to Private Property. a small area of forest adjacent to the gate must not be harvested to prevent unathorised access to the neighbouring property. HC must contact PP landholders prior to closing forestry roads for harvesting to ensure safe access is maintained. Logging Contractors, Log Truck drivers and FCNSW personnel should remain vigilant at all times when traversing these roads. Recreational Visitors Raspberry Road and Kempsey All operational staff must ensure that all Road and associated trails are at trails and potential access points to the times frequently used by harvest area are signed appropriately to walkers, horse riders and trail protect the safety of the public. The bike riders. contractor is responsible for inducting all visitors to the worksite.

Utilities Underground An underground Telstra cable crosses the Kempsey and Raspberry road near Dumps 4, 5A and 5 (see HPOM) and has been marked in the field with Telstra yellow and white markers. The location of this cable must be determined prior to undertaking snigging within the vicinity of the cable. The Cable appears to be a copper line and terminates at the old Forestry cottage.

Transmission lines A 132Kv transmission line runs through Cpt 540 as shown on the HPOM. Safe Work Practice for working near overhead power lines must be implemented by the crew before any work is undertaken within 2 tree lengths.

Gravel Pits There are two existing gravel quarries within these compartments (see HPOM). The Raspberry Road Quarry will be used for works on the eastern half of the operational area and similarly the Falls Road (Central) Quarry will be used to the west (e.g. Honey Gully Road). The quarry manager must ensure that the quarry is flagged with warning tape on the perimeter of the quarry. Be aware of steep quarry walls when approaching.

Mapped trails must be Mapped trails must be reinstated to similar or better condition for access to reinstated to similar or that prior to harvesting/snigging and comply with the EPL. better condition for access to that prior to harvesting/snigging and comply with the EPL.
