Gateway to Hub Falls of Shin Visitor Centre

The clients had a lovely day out in October for af- ternoon tea in the Victoria Restaurant . This was funded by Beinn nan Oighrean Wind- farm (Ardgay), and Beinn Tharsuinn Windfarm Community Limited (Creich). We now have on loan an interactive screen donat- ed by Dementia Friendly. The clients are enjoying using the screen with the staff. Also at the Centre we have reflexology weekly, as well as two weekly visits for music and movement. We also do flower arrang- ing and Ipad tuition. The centre is delighted to be Pete Andrews part of a 2 year pilot scheme Fare Share, that is run- ning with Tesco. We receive donations twice a week. Children & Young people Gledfield Primary School scottish book week As part of Scottish Book Week we were joined by author and illustrator Meg McLaren. Meg shared her new book ‘Life Is Magic’ with us. All our pupils joined in with many fun activities inspired by her book.

I can remem- ber even as a boy being taken by my parents to Church for the ‘midnight service’ on Christmas Eve. In those days, I sang in the church choir and was the lead chorister.
