To begin with the installation make sure to run the emulator, from the emulator’s Start menu select the icon. In the address field (top of the IE window) type the address of your server followed by /hh/ and hit the Go button. A page similar to the one shown below should be displayed. Installing Support files The final step to complete the installation process is to install all runtime libraries required by LAWSON handheld products. Fortunately, all support files are installed already when you installed the emulator but you need to them to the appropriate folders.

There are three files that need to be copied; all of them are dynamic link libraries (they have .DLL extension). The files are:

File name Description MFCCE300.DLL Runtime library for Microsoft Foundation Classes MFC for Windows CE OLECE300.DLL Runtime library for Object Linking and Embedding for Windows CE ATLCE300.DLL Runtime library for ActiveX Templates Library for Windows CE

To locate the files mentioned above, open your windows explorer on your local machine and navigate to the following path:

C:\Program Files\Windows CE Tools\wce300\MS Pocket PC\mfc\lib\x86em

There you can the first two files; the third file is located in: C:\Program Files\Windows CE Tools\wce300\MS Pocket PC\atl\lib\x86em

Once you locate the files, use windows explorer to copy them to the emulator’s windows folder located : C:\Program Files\Windows CE Tools\wce300\MS Pocket PC\emulation\palm300\windows Running the Applications

By completing the installation procedure described in this document you are ready to use LAWSON handheld products on the emulator. You can begin using LAWSON handheld products by running the handheld shell which gives you access to LAWSON server and other installed products. The Handheld shell can be launched by selecting the Mobile MSCM Icon for the start menu of the emulator.

Once all of the cab files have been successfully downloaded from the server onto the emulator, you can go to Start and launch MSCM.

You will need to add the server address to access your server. Once you have MSCM launched, select File, Settings. Type in the server and port. Test the connection.
