ISO 45001 OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY

An occupational health and (OH&SMS) is concerned with the safety, health and well-being of people in your organization. An OH&SMS provides guidelines for your organization to identify , and ways to manage those OH&SMS . An OH&SMS standard provides your organization with a structured framework, which can help meet your OH&SMS legal and policy requirements, as well as control your OH&SMS risks. The OH&SMS standard may also support your organization to avoid or minimize workplace-related injuries and illnesses. Through continuous improvement of overall OH&SMS performance, you can also provide confidence to your stakeholders that your organization supports the social pillar of sustainability with respect to OH&SMS. MIGRATION TO ISO 45001 OHSAS 18001 will be withdrawn in March 2021. Current OHSAS 18001 clients will need to migrate to ISO 45001 to ensure continuity of their occupational health and safety management program. All OHSAS 18001 certificates expire on March 11, 2021. NSF-ISR encourages all existing and new customers to certify to ISO 45001 as soon as possible, but no later than November 10, 2020 to allow time to address any nonconformances.
