Anderson Trojan Baseball 2019 ANDERSON TROJAN BASEBALL 2019 BILS DAVIS ALLEN GARZA DEL BOSQUE SENIORS 2019 HSU JACKSON MAREK RANEY RUMRICH RADLE RUMRICH ATHLETES AND PARENTS – Commitment, Dedication, Hard Work and Discipline will allow us to be the best that we can possibly be. This means we have to play up to our capabilities and compete at a high level to give us a chance to reach our full potential and exceed all expectations. Commitment: In order for us to play as a team, we must practice as a team. All players are expected to be on time and at all practices. We will have games and/or practices scheduled every day except Sunday and during portions of Spring Break. The athletes should be ready to start practice at the time practice is called. This means that the athlete will need to arrive early enough to handle their business. Be committed to your team for it is committed to you. Dedication: The Anderson Baseball program will continue to be recognized for its winning tradition. We must hold ourselves accountable for the expectations of our community, school and teammates to carry on this winning tradition. I promise to put forth the effort needed to ensure that the Anderson Baseball program will be a State Championship contender. Hard work: Being a champion is not easy. Committing to hard work, dedication, making sacrifices to your team, coaches, parents, administrators, and the community will make the Anderson Baseball program successful. We will never get beat due to the lack of hard work. Discipline: Discipline will be the backbone of our program. We will hold each other accountable for our actions. Coaches, athletes and parents will work tougher to ensure that all players are treated equally regardless of talent or ability. Discipline must start from the top, which means coaches. I expect all athletes and coaches to respect and support one another. In order for the Anderson Baseball program to be successful, we must win in all areas such as classroom, practice, game, home and community. I hope that with the hard work and dedication from our coaching staff, our athletes and our community, this will be a great and successful season for all. GO TROJANS!!! Cincinnati Reds Press Clippings January 30, 2019 THIS DAY IN REDS HISTORY 1919-The Reds hire Pat Moran as manager, replacing Christy Mathewson, when no word is received from him while his is in France with the U.S. Army. Moran would manage the Reds until 1923, collecting a 425-329 record 1978-Former Reds executive, Larry MacPhail, is elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum 1997-The Reds sign Deion Sanders to a free agent contract, for the second time ESPN.COM Busy Reds in on Realmuto, but would he make them a contender? Jan. 29, 2019 Buster Olney ESPN Senior Writer The last time the Cincinnati Reds won a postseason series, Joey Votto was 12 years old, Bret Boone was the team's second baseman and the organization had only recently drafted his kid brother, a third baseman out of the University of Southern California named Aaron Boone. Since the Reds swept the Dodgers in a Division Series in 1995, they have built more statues than they have playoff wins. In recent years, a Dodger said he was sick of Kirk Gibson -- not because of anything Gibson had done, but because the team had felt the need to roll out the highlight of Gibson's epic '88 World Series home run, in lieu of subsequent championship success. Similarly, most of the biggest stars in the Reds organization continue to be Johnny Bench, Joe Morgan, Pete Rose and Tony Perez, as well as announcer Marty Brennaman, who recently announced he will retire after the upcoming season.
