TYAMP will provide Actors with instruction designed to implement the following skills in a nurturing environment:

Improvisation…Scene Study/Monologue…Sensory/Imagination Work Character and Relationship Development…Storytelling

We will be playing Short Form Games, Listening, Focusing, Creating, Giving, Being Fearless and saying “YES.” Students will be encouraged to be supportive of one another while taking risks, freeing the imagination, dropping walls and having FUN! All exercises and technique will be Meisner, Stanislavski and Strasberg based without taking it all too damn seriously

The goal is for students to be natural and confident…their smartest, dynamic and most authentic selves on stage while in front of an audience

Kirk Baltz (LouLou and Dutch’s Dad) is a respected actor, teacher and acting coach with 20+ years of experience. He has worked with such noted directors such as Taylor Hackford, , , John Woo, and Quentin Tarantino. Since training extensively in NYC (where he was born and raised) with renowned teachers…Sandra Seacat, Tony Greco, Susan Batson and Greg Zittel of The Neighborhood Playhouse, Kirk has appeared in over 50 films and TV productions and worked with NYC theatre companies Mabou Mines and The Wooster Group. As a coach, his client roster includes; Max Greenfield (American Horror Story, New Girl, The Big Short…), Scoot McNary (Batman v Superman, Gone Girl, Argo), Julia Goldani Telles (The Affair, Nurse Jackie, Bunheads). Eight years ago Kirk began and continues to teach workshops for actors, writers and directors in Berlin, Munich, Cologne, Vienna, Paris and London. He will be featured in the upcoming independent films “Control: A Love Story” and “The Cutlass”
