Martha Campbell’s frst impression of Hanover High school and its community is that it is a “good ft,” for herself, fnding that the school is as competitive and educationally focused as she is. Campbell fnds the school to have great resources and spaces for the students. Having viewed how the school respects students and entrusts them with a lot of responsibility, she speaks of how it is a great environment. Additionally, Campbell noted how Hanover High stands out from other high schools because of its democratic foundation and relationship with the community. For Campbell’s frst year, she speaks of how it will take her a bit of time to get accustomed to everything, but she knows that she is open to learn, and will grow to have many great friends here at HHS.

At delibera- tive session, the members of the community are allowed to voice concerns and revisions to proposed articles with the school board and the budget committee before the articles go to vote in the community for the March 13th vote. The main concern year to year is the school budget, which deals with how to spend the district taxpayers’ money for the district’s educational needs. In some past and present years, mem- bers of the committee have sought to make cuts.
