The Crossing and Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger to launch exclusively on Prime Video as part of new Disney deal March 29, 2018 Sci-fi mystery The Crossing will launch on Prime Video in the UK and Ireland on 3rd April Marvel’s highly-anticipated Cloak & Dagger will launch exclusively for Prime members in the UK one day after the US launch this summer LONDON – 29 March 2018 – Amazon today announces the launch of two new television series exclusively for Prime Video as part of a new deal with Disney EMEA. Marvel’s highly-anticipated Cloak & Dagger, which tells the story of two teenagers from very different backgrounds who find themselves burdened and awakened by their new powers, will be available on Prime Video in UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and Italy in June, a day after the US premiere. The deal also brings sci-fi mystery The Crossing to Prime Video in the UK and Ireland on Tuesday 3rd April, and to Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Austria on Friday 27th April. The Crossing tells the story of a group of refugees from a war-torn country 250 years in the future who seek asylum in an American town. “This marks another step forward in bringing best-in-class TV shows to Prime Video customers in Europe,” saysJay Marine, VP Prime Video EU. “We are thrilled to be bringing Marvel’s next hugely anticipated TV series exclusively to Prime Video and we look forward to hearing the reaction from Marvel fans and newcomers to the iconic entertainment series alike as they discover the universe of Cloak & Dagger. The Crossing is a timely addition to Prime Video and we’re expecting customers to find much to love about this enigmatic show.” Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger is the story of Tandy Bowen (Olivia Holt, Ultimate Spider-Man) and Tyrone Johnson (Aubrey Joseph, The Night Of), two teenagers who are awakened to newly acquired superpowers which are mysteriously linked to one another. Tandy can emit light daggers and Tyrone has the ability to engulf others in darkness. They quickly learn they are better together than apart Alongside Holt and Joseph, Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger also stars Emma Lahana (Hellcats), Jaime Zavallos (House M.D.), Andrea Roth (Rescue Me), Gloria Reuben (ER), Miles Mussenden (Bloodline), Carl Lundstedt (Grey’s Anatomy ), and J.D. Evermore (True Detective). The series is co-produced by Marvel Television and ABC Signature Studios. The Crossing sees refugees from a war-torn country seek asylum in a small American fishing town, only the country these people are from is America – and the war they are fleeing hasn’t happened yet. As the government tries to uncover the truth behind this mysterious migration only one thing is certain: the lives of the people here — both the townspeople and these newcomers — will never be the same. The recording’s love theme sets a thoughtful tone on a day considered to be one for lovers. But the pair covers a gamut of feelings – – and proves that love is multi-faceted even when it feels perfect. The album seems to sparkle with a certain feel. This feeling emanates from Reuben’s singing and Ashby’s playing. The two are in sync and each note sounds vibrant and ready to pop out of speakers of any kind. It is difficult to capture what is going on here, but it is worth listening to, on Valentine’s Day and beyond. Beyond “For All We Know”: About Gloria Reuben and Marty Ashby Reuben is probably better known as an actress. An actress who sometimes sings. This recording proves that she could have been a singer first. Her delivery is clear and she uses vibrato sparingly on “For All We Know.” The way Reuben connects with the music shows her personality and interpretation of lyrics and it is that personal touch that helps the songs on the recording stand out even more.

When the first medical dramas were broadcasted, the main characters were good, peaceful, intelligent, competent, empathic, and successful physicians. One of the most famous, even outside the US, was Marcus Welby M.D. (1969-1976) of David Victor –which this year marks 50 years since its first emission. This depiction began to change in the mid-1990s. While maintaining the over positive image of medical doctors, TV series started to put more emphasis on their negative characteristics and difficulties in their interpersonal relationships, such asER (TV) by Michael Crichton (United States) and House MD (TV) by David Shore (United States). In these series, physicians were portrayed as arrogant, greedy, and adulterous, and their diagnostic and therapeutic errors were exposed.
