ARREST OF NOTORIOUS SNATCHERS INVOLVED IN SNATCHING OFFENCES BY NORTH ZONE POLICE WITHIN ZERO RESPONSE TIME On 13.02.2019 at about 2130 hrs. Unknown offenders (bike riders) snatched a Mobile Phone from a passerby in the limits of Nallakunta P.S. Immediately, the victim rang up Dial-100 and the Main Police Control Room alerted all the Mobiles parties in the City. All night round offices were on the roads conducting vehicle checking to nab the fleeing offenders. After that the same offenders committed snatching of a Mobile phone around Tarnaka in the limits of Osmania University Police Station, and proceeded towards the limits of Lalaguda Police Station. On noticing the snatching by the offenders, civilians viz., 1. Dheeraj Kumar s/o Narasimha Rao, 25-years, Student r/o Anand Nagar, Ramanthapur, 2. Srikanth s/o Janardhan, 26-years, Private Employee r/o Sharada Nagar, Ramanthapur and 3) B.V. Pramod s/o Pratap Reddy, 25-years, Private Employee r/o Srinivaspuram, Ramanthapur followed them. The silencer of the two wheeler of the accused persons was removed and lot of noise pollution was emanating from the vehicle and on approaching near Skylab Hotel, Mettuguda, Secunderabad, PC 30101 J. Pratap and HG 3963 K. Vishnu the staff of Patrol – I of Lalaguda P.S heard the polluted noise of speeding vehicle and also message alert from the Divisional Night Round Officers and Main Control Room, they tried to stop the accused and seeing the Police, the accused persons took a turn into the by-lanes. Immediately the Patrol Car staff with the assistance of civilians chased them and apprehended them. On interrogation they revealed their identity. Both the offenders are juveniles in conflict with law (17 and 16 years respectively) and confessed to have committed an offence of Bag Snatching in the limits of Malakajgiri Police Station in the limits of Rachakonda Commissionerate, 1-Mobile snatching in the limits of Lalaguda, 1-Mobile snatching in Nallakunta P.S. and 3-Mobile phones at different places in the limits of Osmania University Police Stations. 4-Mobile Phones, 1-hand Bag containing an amount of Rs. 2,500/- have been recovered from them and the Bike bearing No. TS-08-GA-5983 used for the commission of has also been seized. Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City. - 3 - ARREST OF OFFENDERS INVOLVED IN SNATCHING OFFENCE BY BOLLARUM POLICE AND RECOVERY OF STOLEN CELL PHONES On 13.03.2019 at about 2310 hrs. while the complainant Sri. Ellaboina Shekar (29), Private Employee along with his brother in-law Akula Krishna were having Egg Fried Rice near Shiva Kushal Function Hall, Adarsh Nagar, Bollarum, two unknown persons went there on a Motor cycle bearing No. AP-28-BN-4585 (Bajaj Pulsar) and posing themselves as Police Officials and under the guise of frisking they started checking them and when the complainant and his brother in-law resisted them, they assaulted them with hands and took them on their bike as if they are taking them to the Police Station and on approaching near Saint High School, Bollarum they forcibly snatched their Samsung and Redmi Phones, while threatening them to re-collect their mobiles after paying Rs. 10,000/- on the next day and decamped with the booty. On 14.03.2019 at about 0030 hrs. the complainant Sri. Ellaboina Shekhar went to Bollarum P.S. and orally complained about the incident. Immediately, the HC 8520 Sri. Shyam Rao and PC 2901 Sri. Zakir Hussain who were available in the Police Station alerted all the Patrol Cars and Blue Colts and proceeded to the scene. While they were going to the scene, on the way they found the accused persons and on seeing the Police the accused persons tried to escape, but, the HC and PC chased them on their bike and in this process the accused persons met with an accident and fell down on the road. The offenders were apprehended. On interrogation they revealed their identity as M.B. Sairaj s/o Bhaskar Rao, 26-years, Private employee and Mohammed Kareem s/o Mohammed Naseeb, 35-years both residents of Sadar Bazar, Bollarum, Secunderabad and confessed to have committed the offence. At their instance and from possession 1-Samsung and 1-Redmi cell Phone has been recovered and the Bike used for the commission of offence has been seized. - 4 - GOVERNMENT OF TELANGANA (Police Department) Office of the Addl.
